You wouldn't think a team who the Hawks beat 43-8 6 months ago would have me worried, but

- Usually the Hawks at home come out with such a huge emotional lift that the other team just can't keep up. But these Broncos have had this game circled since the schedule came out. If a visiting team is ever going to equal (or better) the lift the Hawks get from playing at home, it's these Broncos.
- The terrible Broncos defense that had me so confident in the Super Bowl has a bunch of new faces and should be better on paper. That hasn't translated yet, and I hope it takes them at least another week to do so.
- Manning should be able to execute the same game plan Rivers did last week. Then again, he had the Super Bowl to do that and couldn't, Seattle will be at home, not away in 120 degree heat, and they can't possibly be that bad at tackling again...right?

It sure would be nice to get something out of our special teams that isn't a turnover this week.

All being said, I think last week serves as a kick in the ass for this team and they win this one (thanks to it being a home game). Before last week I would have picked the Hawks here home or away.

It seemed like the entire team was out of whack last week, uncharacteristic things happened like the poor tackling you mentioned. I dont see that happening two weeks in a row. However, if it does i will start to be concerned.

Am I the only one that took a positive note from that game is that the chargers controlled 40+ min of the game compared to our 17, they ran double the plays we ran, I dont think they turned the ball over, and ONLY won the game by 2 field goals? I dont count the last field goal because the game was already over but to have all that in your favor the score should have been lopsided and we had a chance to win the game because we had the ball down by 6. Id give it to the chargers tho

The Bronco's will be up against a massive wave of Blue.
I like the home team in this game.
If Denver beats us, I am sure they will have earned it.

Manning loves to make those audible changes to plays before the snap. 12th shut him down at the SB. Imagine the hell that will be unleashed on his ears this Sun.

The statue of Omaha is going to get the tackling dummy treatment again. Harbor view better have a room ready. This could be the last game of his career.

I'm sure CBS fought like hell to keep this game. And remember the league specifically stayed away from prime time games in Seattle.

which is why im upset im all for giving us harder opponents because were the defending champs but taking away primetime home games because of how we win is unfair

Just one quick correction. The NFL did not give the Seahawks harder opponents this year. This is just how the schedule is figured. They don't sit around every year and redesign the whole schedule to make sure the top teams get the toughest games. Heck I could tell you 5-years from now who the Seahawks opponents will be other than 2-games which are then determined by what place in your division you finished.

I think Seattle wins, but it will be much closer (I suppose it kind of has to be). Peyton Manning laid a monster egg in the SB. He is not going to do that again. But almost nobody (except the Cardinals) beats Seattle at home.

It's not a Super Bowl rematch really.... Unless it's the exact same rosters as Feb 2nd... This is 2014 and it's all about the now.... Then is then now is now... Were trying to go 2-1 on the young season and the Broncos are trying to go 3-0 .... It's intriguing because of the Super Bowl but it's not what's motivating either team... Hopefully we take care of business... Go Seahawks!!

I thought Seattle had about a 50% chance to win the Super Bowl but for some reason I'm feeling a lot worse about this home game. A banged up secondary with them getting Welker has me worried. Key for them is probably going to be Montee Ball. For Seattle it's going to be Maxwell, Denver really went after him in the preseason game.

I understand your concern, but I am confident in this team.
Along with that, The Clink tends to be a house of horrors for most teams.

What happened last week may be a good thing. They seemed pissed all week. I would be pissed if they weren't.

I understand your confidence, but I've seen Seattle lose dozens of games at home over the decades.

I think we win, but I am not only about 55% sure on that one. It will be 3 confidence points on my pick'em this week.

I sat through losses in the kingdome, husky stadium, and seahawks stadium/qwest field but since its been called the clink we have lost very few games. If we lose this one its gonna be a nail biter down to the very bitter end.

Wow. ESPN just had their round table for this game with bruschi, schlereth (what ever it's spelled) and two others. All of them said Seattle is going curb stomp the donkeys again this Sun. That whatever D the donkeys added this offseason, it still wasn't remotely enough to change the outcome.

Sounds good.
