So to sum up Tyler Johnson and Wayne Ellington to the Suns for Ryan Anderson. There are no picks involved in this trade.

thats a great trade for Miami if you ask me.

I thought htey would get an asset for Ellington but nothing more than what the going rate is- like a pair of 2nd rounders

to get off of TJ next year is really really nice.

surprised the Suns would want to kill their cap space, and add yet another wing to that team.

Pretty sure the Suns will buy Ellington out

i think thats a great trade for Miami

Booker, Bridges, Oubre, Jackson, Warren, now TJ.

why do the Suns have a million wing players?

why trade for Oubre if you are also going to trade for Johnson? I mean this basically means Oubre is gone as a FA i would think.

I honestly don't get that deal at all. For either team.
id say it makes sense for Miami getting rid of 19M of salary next year for "just another guy".

why Phoenix adds Tyler Johnson right after trading for Oubre- when they already have Bridges, Warren and Jackson just makes no sense.

Anderson has 2 years left on his deal as well. Well the bulk of his contract is.

It makes no sense for the Suns for sure. They need playmaking/ball handlers.

But honestly it is pretty meh for Miami since 15 million of Anderson's contract is guaranteed.

whats Anderson's guarantee for next year? according to Spotrac it looks like 6M.

From Spotrac....

2019 agreed to reduce guaranteed $21,264,637 to $15,643,750 for trade with PHX to be completed, full guaranteed if not waived on or before 7/10/19

Exactly. But what I don't get is the Heat don't really need another 4 and the Suns don't really need a swing man. Both teams became more redundant.

Unless there are other deals waiting to happen.

yah kelly olnyk is basically a more mobile version of anderson.

maybe they can try and blackmail Whiteside into not picking up his 27M dollar player option. lol

You do realize the Heat had way more guards than forwards right?

They only had 4 pf/c and one is currently out until mid March at the earliest.

They had 9 or 10 guards on the roster

If Whiteside doesn't sign his option, one of his family members should assassinate his agent. He won't get half what he is currently getting.

And all the guards should be in a rotation somewhere

This makes the rotation clearer and saves money

Hmmm. Looking at your roster you have.

Bigs - Olynyk, Bam, Winslow and Johnson
Guards - Dragic, Waiters, Richardson, McGruder, Wade.

I'm not really bashing the Heat for making this move. I just don't get the point of it.
