I don't think you have to even hope.

No way a chronically broken, underachieving guy like Blake turns down a 5 year max to move to a Team down the hall.

Plus, Magic has already stated they won't be players this Summer.

I think that's wise. Why give away assets to get George when you can sign him for nothing next summer?

Exactly...

makes ZERO sense for the Lakers to throw players away to Indy when there's no need to do so, yet certain fans who i'll leave nameless are going "no, pull the trigger now". and i guarantee they'll be the same fans who'll laugh at us if those moves didn't work out...

said it before, i'll say it again. onus is on the Pacers to not be left empty handed if/when Paul George bounces. the Lakers can be patient...

the problem is of course that before Mozgov and Deng are up- you need to reup guys like Russell and Randle--- effectively just switching out the cap---- its why its important to try and move them beforehand.
The Lakers don't need to deal with these two this year really. They won't be a major player quite yet. In two years they will be expiring contracts and by then the Lakers will be a serious playoff team with the talent they now have

If you've never seen him play, it's kinda pointless to debate.

We all know stats don't tell the entire story.

But.....I'll try....

Scoring guards are all the rage.

I'm a Ball fan.

I have been chirping for him since before he played his first College game.

I watched almost every game he played at UCLA.

Ball is the superior playmaker imo.

Fultz is the better scorer.....by a mile.

If you have shooters on your roster, Ball will get them involved.

If you need to rely on him for scoring, you might have a problem.

If I were drafting simply based on talent, I'd probably go Fultz, Fox, Ball.

Fox is a better defender than both and he can split the difference between the two in scoring.

I'm sure you've seen more of Ball than I have. What do you think of the criticisms of Ball's shot? Overblown or a legitimate concern?

Pretty high standard you've set for him there. He's been a better pro than a guy who hasn't played a single game
Well who is the better pro "so far", Simmons or Ingram?

If the price is reasonable, sure pull the trigger.

If it's a Kings ransome?

* See Carmelo crippling the Knicks.

It's really funky...lol

I think he's gonna get stripped a lot by guys with quicker hands.

But, he will be fine.

It's totally overblown.

The kid is going to be a stud.

Well who is the better pro "so far", Simmons or Ingram!

It's a silly question. Tony Romo nearly played more minutes than Ben Simmons this season. It makes little sense to even attempt to compare Ingram and Simmons right now.

Nope.

I hate you guys a little less with Jeannie, Magic and Pelinka at the helm.

I can't openly root for the Lakers.

But, I hope they are successful because I love me some Magic.

lol, even mrs CL likes Magic...and totally DESPISED Bryant...

Got ya. It'll be interesting to see how both develop. Tons of potential for both.
Well maybe the developmental edge goes to Simmons, even in light of his injury. Did BS really develop his height by two inches to a full 7 ft?

That's an unlikely area to develop as a pro.

Here is the thing...

In the words of the ever annoying ass Stephen A. Smith, the best ability is availability.

I love Embiid and Simmons talent.

But, it's hard to rate them as better, or equivalent, to guys who have played twice as many games.I

Example...

On Paper.....Embiid> Towns, ...

How many GM's do you see taking Joel over KAT?

The ability to stay healthy matters.

Simmons is going to be filthy.

He's not as long.

But, he will be Giannis like.

I really hope you guys draft Fox.

He's not as big as Ball or Fultz.

But, he will defend and can put the ball in the basket.

Fox' perimeter shooting is going to be a problem in the NBA, unless you think he's going to be Rondo.
