I got my hands up just enough to keep the damage from being too bad.

That was the closest I ever came to scoring a goal, too. I might have scored and not gotten decked if that pass had been to my stick and not my feet.

I hit the back of my head on the ice, and that's what kept me down for a little while. Fortunately, I was wearing my helmet properly and was no concussed.

mine was after I deked a defender out of his jock then beat the goalie, as I was rounding the net the defender came from my blind side and I had to way to react fast enough. It just something that doesn't belong in the sport(high cross checks) I mean guys who put their stick in your back and give you little shots are ok cause that's a lot of how defense is played, but making a beeline for a guy who isn't even looking at you and purposely aiming for his thrao/face/head with your stick is unacceptable


Edit. The next time we played his team he talked shit & dropped gloves off opening face off and I beat his ass. Then I caught him with an open ice Kronwall type hit in the 3rd and broke 4 of his ribs, so I felt vindicated

Boyle randomly grabs Karlsson and does his best Marchand-speedbagging-Sedin routine in game 1.

When Carkner came over and faced up to him in game 2 what did he expect? He was trying to draw Carkner into taking a penalty. It worked. A 5 minute major and a game misconduct.

Boyle is BIGGER than Carkner. He chose not to defend himself because he is a 6'7 bully. He loves the rough stuff against Karlsson but someone even remotely his size he bails? I'm not buying it. He wanted powerplay time for his team. The Sens and Carkner were fine with that.

It should have ended right there.

i have no problem whatsoever with what Carkner did ... i think i saw mattola post it somewhere in another thread that he wishes that type of thing happened re Sedin last year in the finals ... same here!!!

No. He doesn't have to fight. He can take a 5 minute PP if he chooses to stand in there and not fight back. Boyle took that option and the Sens killed the penalty.

This notion that Boyle got mugged unawares is ridiculous. He knew what was coming since Thursday and chose to not engage.
