As a Sens fan I'm surprised by this. Don't get me wrong, I thought he deserved 2-3. What I don't get is how Weber gets no games.


I think Shanny and his puppet-masters saw this year's playoffs spiraling out of control and decided to make a statement.

I think Colin sucked. I thought Shanahan did fine for a few weeks, then suddenly everything was all over the board. At least Shanahan makes statements, explains his decision, gives reasons for why he did what he did. With Colin who knew? Also Shanahan hasn't been caught sending emails about how certain guys were "divers" and trying to influence refs.

That said, Shanny is all over the place with his decisions. It wouldn't surprise me if there was a shit load of back stage string pulling in that job.

Wouldn't you think if he had any bias, he would have suspended Weber for smashing his boy Zetterberg's face in? Or a U of M grad on his former team the Rangers might have got off with less than three for something he did to a guy he barely knew?

All I know is I'm getting god damn sick and tired of this "it was three games because he was injured" or "It may have been a game or two more had he been injured" This is fucking bullshit !!

If some asshole comes flying in at some guy's fucking head and the league is so concerned about concussions then suspend them for the action not the fact that the bastard was lucky enough to brace himself and not be paralyzed or some other serious injury.

I will never understand the thinking behind that. It's the same as a high sticking penalty 2 or 4 minutes if he's bleeding. It's moronic, you can crack someone ine the face with a stick and break his fucking jaw and not draw blood.

Am I the only one that thinks the high sticking penalties are stupid as well? If you intentionally smack someone in the face you should get four if it's an accidental high stick then two.

I'm not saying it happens all the time (or even at all). I just don't think that a guy who has MANY allegiances in the league can make competely unbiased decisions.

On one hand he obvisouly knows the game and how decisions are made a the NHL pace of play. I just think it's hard for him to objective, even if it is subconscious bias that comes into play.

For the record I still think he's better than Campbell.

Sorry, I think Carkner should've gotten 2 at the least. You can't just attack a guy like that and continue to punch him while he's lying defenseless on the ice.
