Sorry, I think Carkner should've gotten 2 at the least. You can't just attack a guy like that and continue to punch him while he's lying defenseless on the ice. I just don't understand the consistency here. Elbow is 3, fine. Mugging a guy on the ice is one? Smashing a guy's head into the glass is zero? WHAT?

I agree once you have the guy down and made your point generally you stop. Even some of the all time tough guy's would stop once they made their point. It's like a code that been around for a long time.

I like that boyle paid for treating the Sens TOP star the way he did last game and got no payback and pretty much got away with it. I wish a canuck did that to Marchand after what he did to Sedin that game. Karlsson is not a fighter. he is their star Boyle got what he deserved. its old 80s retribution. I have ZERO issue with it. I only can't believe he got ONE game. that should easily be 3 to 5 for the pounding on the ground. You know...I really couldn't have said it better myself. Boyle fucked around with Karlsson and he paid the price. That's how that type of thing was dealt with in the old days. Is it wrong? Sure but Boyle can't get away with taking liberties on a star player and he didn't.

As far as the suspensions go, I think Hagelin got a game too many and Carkner should have gotten one more game. I just hope Alfie is okay honestly...
