Yep, exactly, we need better talent at these positions. Package a couple deals and as you said, move up and get better picks. We're still in a rebuild whether folks want to admit it, and better now than later. With the picks we have now, and ones we could possibly pick up for guys like Risto, Laughton could be the difference in a strong draft.

For sure if we could package a couple of picks and grab a top center in the draft then trading our centers will be well worth it.

At this point would you even notice? Scary, but Poehling may be the best at this point. Couts - 9 points, Laughton - 7 and Frost - 6 isn't going to cut it on any level. Richard is listed as a C and has 6 points in 7 games, but I thought he was playing on a wing.

Im not sure but if we are hiding them we are doing a great job. Maybe they are talking about Luchenko or Tuomaala and Gaucher from Lehigh valley

I find it pretty damn ironic that Couturier and Cates scored the goals to tie the game up in the 3rd this afternoon. Also, faceoffs were brought up. Couturier won 19 of 26 faceoffs (73.1%) today, including the one that led to the game winner by Michkov in OT. He's one of the best faceoff men in the league. Entering this game, only Larkin and Trocheck had more faceoff wins and a higher win percentage. Well, I believe he just surpassed both of them in one of the two categories.

Sure, Coots isn't going to put up 76 points anymore, but he does the little things all over the ice that win games, including winning critical faceoffs over and over again. Today, he just so happened to score the goal that got the comeback started. He won the faceoff that gave them possession on the OT power play and he was in front of the net providing a distraction so that Michkov could pound home the game winner.

Laughton is the only true center on the team with a poor win percentage. He's at 46.3% and he didn't take a faceoff today, so I guess we rectified that issue.

Anyway, the whole world is aware that the Flyers need a top center. It's not going to happen overnight.

Meanwhile, I don't think it does any good to just shit on all of our current centers.

Coots is not an offensive star, we get it. but the guy does everything else very well. Some of you are completely lost on that fact.
