Well that was a very nice game to watch. Everyone on the team was moving their feet and the level of play was heads above any game this season. Good to see the confidence their building as a unit, love it!
The Russian so far seems like the real deal, his vision on the ice is beyond his years, So far I have to give the nod to Briere and Jonesy for taking that chance.
Fedotov looks way more comfortable than he did in the beginning of the year. I think maybe the success of Michkov and help from Zumula, he may be getting comfortable and more focused on being part of this team.
Speaking of Zumula, love the fact that he took his wake up call in a positive manner. He's been very solid since his return to the line up. Lot of growth showing up.in a positive light, yet a lot of growing up left to do.
Last but not least, congrats to E J for reaching 1000 games, dude has been a solid player all his career. Love how he is helping with growth on this team to, he's a solid team guy and I think his peers respect that.

I don't know if the rule changed but I remember Giroux getting called up from the OHL in season, playing a few games and getting sent back down. I think they called it an emergency call up. I did a brief search but could only find the 9 game rule which applies at the beginning of the season.

Ah true, I think you're right. Emergency recalls would be an option. Don't remember the rule there either, but I assume those would be a short term thing.

Emergency Roster Rules

If a team has less than 20 players and less than $875K (minimum salary of $775K + $100K) cap space to call up a player, they must play 1 game with less than 20 players, and then they can call up a player with a Cap Hit of $875K or less and are permitted to exceed the cap for that player until an injured player returns.

Gonna be a rough test for him, the Avs have defensive and Goalie issues but their offense will come fast and in waves. Hopefully he just stays solid.
Hey if we have to win 7-6 i will take it. We both have 18 points so ju.st keep the points rolling in.

We might get Risto traded now that he is playing better and really begin to earn that fat and hideous contract. What fortune we have. The sucked for years and now when he is playing way better, we get offers for a trade! Damn it.

We better get it done while we can and not wait for the deadline while he still healthy. Hes a righty defenseman so that's should be premium

Anthony Richard picked 76 picks after TK in the 2015 draft now has 6 points in 5 games.

Same as Frost and the same as Foerster and Cates combined.

Only plays 12 minutes a game.

The teams in our division never lose WTF!! :mad2:
It may appear that way at times. Several good teams, especially the surprising Caps. The Isles, Jackets and Devils all lost on Saturday. The Pens lost on Friday and are losing a lot these days. Can't keep the puck out of their net. They've given up 80 goals, the most in the Nhl, by far.

We're up to 5th in the division, 9th in the conference and 19th in the league.

For us, the constant stream of injuries is concerning, but it may not hurt too much if Fedotov is truly comfortable in net. Sure, get as much as you can for Risto and move on, but right at this moment would be a bad time to let him go with Andrae, York and Drysdale all still out.

Why in the world are we starting Kolosov after Fedotov finally looked comfortable last game. I could see if it was a back to back but with Ersson out we are literally now starting our third best goalie against Colorado.

Solid effort against a good team.

Thought Kolosov played well.
Good flurry at the end to try and tie it up.

Grans looked good.

Interesting note : all of our defensemen were 6' 2" or taller last night.

Excellent assessment of the game. I agree with all your points

Its no coincidence that our three tiny defenseman are hurt.

We cant have three small dmen going forward ,something needs to happen especially if Risto is traded.

Package him with Drysdale and I think we could get a good return.
