I watched Lehigh Valley play last night on the NHL channel and they play the never give up style too. We beat Pittsburgh butt in OT after being down late in the third.

Man what happened to Elliot Desnoyers. He was one of our promising prospects and now he doesn't come near the top 10 and we didn't stock up on our high draft picks next year yet.

Well, we absolutely just STOLE a win and a point from Ottawa. They broke open a tie game (2-2) in the first half of the 3rd period via a goal by Norris and a power play goal by Gaudette. At that stage, I believe we had been outshot 31-9 and it was 4-2. Fedotov did just enough to keep us in this as it turns out, but it looked to be over at that point. 37 seconds later, Richard takes his shot and sneaks one by Ullmark. Just 2 minutes after that, Brink puts one home off a Richard rebound and this thing is somehow tied at 4 all.

It goes into overtime. Fedotov, while looking awkward at times, makes a couple big saves to hold the fort. With about a minute left in the OT, Michkov fired one between Ullmark and the post at a severe angle, finding a small amount of daylight for the very unlikely win.

Idk what to say, really. We were completely dominated in this game and still managed to come up with the W. Ullmark and the Senators are definitely pissed the fuck off...Lol

Again, we had absolutely no business winning this game. The Sens had 6 power plays and scored twice on them. They had 37 shots and won 61.4% of the faceoffs. We had 18 giveaways and 30 blocked shots. Quite frankly, a lot of this poor play can be attributed to not having Couturier in the line-up. You take for granted what he does in every zone of the ice, his size and experience, including his faceoff wins and his ability to break up plays defensively.

Claude Giroux still doing his thing at nearly 37 years old. 155 points in 180 games as a Senator (played every game). He's definitely not THE guy anymore, but he's 2nd and 4th respectively on the team in ice time and points amongst their forwards. Fast approaching 1200 games played in the Nhl.

His brother is a highly ranked prospect for the 2025 draft.

As for the game last night, I thought Fedotov played really well. Maybe he's starting to settle in, but I thought he had some huge saves to keep us in it.

He did have some huge saves. A lot of defensive lapses in that game, definitely need to get it under control.

Sanheim was a monster!

Brink and Richard both with a goal and an assist and plus 2 each!!

TK rolling along Where would we be without his offense!?

Fedotov with the timeliest save of the year with about 18 seconds left!

Hathaway and Poehling with 6 blocked shots each!

Michkov with a super clutch goal for the win it!!!!!!!!

Farabee really needs to start chipping in either offensively or defensively cant be bad at both. minus 12

Frost needs to do the same he looks so lost out there as hes not doing anything at either end. minus 10

Laughton needs to get going minus 10 is not a good look when you are middle of the road offensive player. Playing good on the PK though

Couts 8 points on the year with 5 coming in one game. Embarrassing

Drysdale please toughen up you arent any good to us hurt all the time.

If these guys can wake up we could be a cup contender!

Or.... just hear me out, let's replace them with up and coming talent we have already. Why not can't get worse than the output from these guys now.

I don't think they can for most of the guys you're mentioning. I'm pretty sure once your sent down to Juniors you can't come back up (Bonk, Luchanko, Barkey). I think it's "see ya at training camp next year" for those guys. College guys can come back, but only at the conclusion of their season and once they play an NHL game their college eligibility is done, so they wouldn't be able to go back next year if the Flyers wanted them to.

It's the guys on the Phantoms or Flyers roster from here on out this season. (and trades of course)

Yep, I get it, just sucks to be waiting for things to gel(which hasn't been a thing here) just get tired of waiting on the same suspects to get it going, and then it's always just a few games. I don't expect huge scoring every game, but it needs to be more spread instead of waiting on Michkov and TK every game.

We have players on our team that can produce we have seen it happen in the past. Im holding out hope that if TK or Mich slows down offensively that a few of the guys i mentioned can step it up. I cant see all of those guys playing that bad for an entire year. Laughton for example goes on like 10 game runs when you start to think he might be a really good all around player than he goes back into an offensive slump. So i just have to hope it happens,

I like Laughton, I really do but if he was traded for a good deal in return I wouldn't be sad.

I don't know if the rule changed but I remember Giroux getting called up from the OHL in season, playing a few games and getting sent back down. I think they called it an emergency call up. I did a brief search but could only find the 9 game rule which applies at the beginning of the season.
