After losing to Minny 7-4 tonight the Stars are probably in sell mode. If I were Boston, Chicago or LA I'd find out what it would take to acquire Jagr. The cost will probably be much less than Iginla. I'd take Jagr over Iginla for that reason alone. Of course it doesn't hurt that Jags is having a better season as well.

Most of the indications around Jags are that he'll be resigned. They really like what he brings in Dallas...and rightfully so. He's leading them offensively. 14G 11A, next closest guy on the team has 9G. They could get a decent return, but rumors say Niewy has been talking to Peter...........Svoba about an extension.

Jagr to the Devils was a bit of a pipe dream but it looks like the availability of top 6 wingers is becoming less and less if the rumors about him resigning are true. With Kovy, Zubrus, and now potentially Stephen Gionta out the Devils may have to make a move to stay in the playoff picture.

Who else is available? Fleischmann? Hemsky?

Not sure Shero would have the draft picks left to pull that off. Given the kind of return guys like Murray are getting, I don't see him going cheap.

Ott still has another year on his contract and has a reasonable $2.95M cap hit.
