Latest FA updates: Yanks are closing in on Kluber, a deal should be done by the end of the evening. The Mets are trying likewise to get Hand into the fold, altho no deal is imminent at this point.

I was never expecting the Sox to sign Kluber. I would have preferred that he sign with an NL team, but as long as he stays out of the Central, I'll live with it.

We’ll see. If this guy is legit Yanks are one of the most direct obstacles to the Series. It is what it is though.

Kluber is a risk. Other guys are probably better bets for the Sox for the 4th starter.

With or without Kluber, the Yanks are ultimately a major threat to the Sox's chances in their hopes for a trip to the WS. I also happen to agree with Mingo, there are better options out there for us than Kluber - but that's only assuming we're done shopping for a 4th starter, which I suspect we are indeed done. I think the Sox want to see what they have with Cease/Kopech/Lopez/Stiever, at least thru ST and maybe even starting the season. If need be, we can always trade for someone at some point later on down. My top wish remains a lefty DH/OF bat, and I wouldn't exactly be bummed if we inked a veteran backup catcher either.

I do think the Sox will sign a 4th starter. Kopech and Stiever will need to go get some starts in AAA and come in to replace injured starters - that plan makes more sense to me. The 4th starter will be a budget sign based on the market place - Quintana type guy.

I agree about a 2nd catcher. Another reason to send Collins to AAA to catch Kopech and Stiever and get regular at bats.

Unless you're cracking a funny here, I see absolutely nothing in the article that indicates the writer has anything against Hahn. A dig at Reinsdorf, specifically when discussing the Eaton acquisition? Definitely. But Hahn?

twice he makes allusions to those unhappy with hahn with no defense. i guarantee you this writer has not been happy with hahn. nothing funny i assure you.

i just browsed back 7 articles by this writer and he hasn't mentioned hahn by name in any but the 7th one back and it was also alluding to him not being liked as a gm. no direct insult, and i'm not suggesting he hates the man, but in his last 8 articles he's been mention 3 times all in a negative way. he mostly dislikes reinsdork tho (who can blame him?). telling you the writer doesn't care for hahn!

Well, you must see things in this article that I don't. Won't speak for the previous writings, being I didn't read any of them. Going back seven articles to prove a point? LOL, bless your heart.
