I hope he hates burning trees and smog. Then there's this from FanSided via Rotoworld:
Robert Murray of FanSided reports that the Dodgers have "strong interest" in free agent closer Liam Hendriks.
Hendriks was spotted at the Blue Jays' facility in Dunedin, Florida on Monday, but it appears that they have some competition. The Dodgers are trying to settle their third base situation, with free agent Justin Turner still in the mix, but adding quality depth to their bullpen is a priority as well. Hendriks would certainly qualify and could have some ramifications for Kenley Jansen's future in the closer role. Stay tuned, as it seems Hendriks' market is beginning to heat up.

Check this out from CBS Sports, an offseason analysis to date for the AL teams. Giving the Pale Hose some luv.
Which American League team is building the best roster? Why White Sox are currently ahead of Yankees, others
Many AL contenders still have glaring needs to address before spring trainingwww.cbssports.com
LOL - never been a fan of being dubbed things like 'offseason champions, offseason winners', shit like that. But it is encouraging to realize that we do have more holes filled than most other teams, including the top contenders. Honestly, if either Cease or Kopech (or even better BOTH) realize their massive potentials this year, I really do think we just might be the team to beat. Have to see how all the FA signings and possible other trades still play out, but I'm liking our chances more in '21 than I did in '20.Oh we are the paper champion media darlings...Soak it in...It's gonna be going on for a few more months...

Wait, what? I never link sites that require you to pay to join because I'm not signed up with any site requiring such. In fact, I made a specific point of stating just that in another recent post. Homie don't pay to play. I can't help it if the link I provide displays popup ads. If that bothers you, don't click on them.i do wish you'd refrain from linking sites to which you either have to pay to join OR you have to remove your adblock to view.
how about you just copy the text and post stuff here?
I've always said that if I ever do decide to purchase a sports subscription (which I probably never will), it would be The Athletic. A close second would be Baseball America. Both of these seem to contain really up to date and inclusive, inside information on whatever they're reporting or analyzing. My philosophy is - if you pay them it only encourages them. There's plenty of ad revenue available to pay for the services -IMO.
I do purchase a subscription to The Athletic - which I recommend as a marvelous sports on-line periodical.
It's increasing difficult to follow my various sports teams by on-line local newspapers. The Athletic - provides frequent articles by very good sports writers - and real time - box score information on team play. I've subscribed in the past to The Sporting News - and Sports Illustrated and they don't come close to the value I have for The Athletic. I think my subscription costs $60 bucks a year - while my local newspaper runs about $350 per year.I've always said that if I ever do decide to purchase a sports subscription (which I probably never will), it would be The Athletic. I'd even throw in Rosenthal.Colome...Hand...Hendriks...We'll end up with one of them. I'm sure of it. Any will suffice imo.
It's been decades since I roamed the mean suburbs of Chicago, but to my faint and feeble recollection, there remains three major Chitown dailies: the Tribune, the Sun-Times, the Daily Herald. If there are more please let me know. Here's the breakdown on trying to read free online articles each month from these guys:It's increasing difficult to follow my various sports teams by on-line local newspapers.
