Diaw on Wade was a good move.

That actually worked really well. Pop was pretty brilliant and countered Spo with that move.

Diaw contained him better than anyone PLUS Diaw scored a ton of quick points on the offensive end.

the problem was that Diaw is out of shape and cannot play long minutes.
But, he was exceedingly effective for his minutes out there on the floor.

He got winded, went to the bench, and then Wade took over again.

Without Diaw/Bonner stretching things open PLUS Parker hurt, they collapsed on Duncan en masse.

You will see a ton of Diaw and Bonner in game 5.

They need to open things up for Duncan. Usually Parker weaves in and out to make openings.

Without him, it was up to the Spurs to spread out shooters.

If Bonner hits shots, it works. But, I like Diaws passing and defense a little better.

I would not be surprised to see him getting a ton of first team reps in practice the next two days.

Splitter is kind of wasted if the HEAT stick with the small ball lineup.
He doesn't have enough offense to make Miami pay for the weaker defenders in small ball.

Bonner and Diaw can hurt them for putting weaker defenders on the floor.

I have no respect for players who pull that crap.

Because they lack respect for themselves, the teams they play for and the game that they are playing.

If they did respect themselves, their teams and the game they play, they would not resort to that shit.

Period!

What do you think of Tracy McGrady getting some meaningful minutes?

Especially with how Ginobli has been performing. Is it ridiculous at this point, to throw t-Mac out there?

i doubt the Spurs will play that crappy in 2 games, so i believe they take game 5 as well. we'll see how the rest breaks down, though...

So Miami can only win when the Spurs play crappy? The Heat are that bad of a team that they only beat the Spurs when they play bad? BTW when the Spurs play bad, who gets credit for that?

What does the Spurs playing bad have to do with Wade/James going off?

Honestly, and that's been the bad thing with this series, we have yet to see both teams play really good basketball during the same game.

Would be nice to see what would happen if both teams brought their A-Game on the same day.

There is no need to go to Tracy McGrady.....at least I don't think

If Parker is a little better, the Heat wont be able to fully collapse on Duncan and play off TP3.

Add in Bonner/Diaw instead of Splitter, and it will be open a little bit more for Timmy.
The HEAT piled on Duncan in a smothering swarm.

Splitter cannot move far enough away from the basket.
Ginobili is not playing well.

Poor Duncan was covered in a blanket of 2 to 3 HEAT players.
Parker was hurt, and the HEAT knew they could go with that strategy on defense.

So, its up to Boris Diaw/Matt Bonner to create the spacing for Timmy.
The Miami don't have any way to stop Timmy without simply gang smothering the paint.

It worked in game 4, because Tony looked really hurting. They were playing 4 feet off Tony knowing he could not get past them with a bum knee.

The lack of offense from Ginobili and Splitter only made the "Duncan Swarm" even tighter.

If Tony is healthy....PLUS an effective Bonner/Diaw....... it should open things up for the SPurs to take game 5.

I doubt Tiago gets much playing time until Miami makes its new adjustments after the Spurs adjust in game 5 with Bonner/Diaw.

...............

Of course, it would be much easier if MANU GINOBILI just woke up.

Pop would not have to switch all these unusual matchups if Manu was not playing so badly.

But, D-Wade woke up. Maybe manu wakes up next???

Pretty sure that many Heat fans were saying the same thing re: the Spurs when the Heat lost!!

The more I think about it, it really doesn't matter who wins game 5.

I don't see the Spurs winning ANY games in Miami after game 5, win or lose. Nobody plays better with their backs to the wall than Miami.

Of course, I was waiting for someone to bring up Ginobli.

That's what most homer fans do. When all else fails, resort to the "well, so-and-so did it too."
