I hope nobody complains about the path the Celtics took to the title.

I like looking at the number of final appearances and how many wins came while the Lakers were still in Minny.

Whatever floats your boat lol. Minneapolis is far before my time, ancient history.

I don't think anyone will complain. But the injuries opponents had in each of the EC playoff series is part of the story.

Actually one person already has mentioned more than once the Celtics path to the title.

If playing teams that are missing players is really part of the story then it should be noted that the '15 Warriors, '16 Cavs, '19 Raptors, '20 Lakers and '23 Nuggets all beat teams missing at least one key player on their way to the title. Should all those team be dinged because of opponents injury? I don't think they should.

An example. Does anyone say that about your '88 Lakers after Zeke messed his ankle up in the Finals and wasn't the same? Of course not.

Injuries will always be part of the game. But unfortunately sometimes they happen at the worst time (playoffs).

I know games need to be played, but Boston handled the EC pretty well throughout the season. I think the outcome would still be the same.

I do think a healthy Cavs team makes things interesting but if Cs also have Porzingis have to assume they'd have still won.

So who feels worse right now:

Marcus Smart seeing the team he was a part of for so long win the title without him but also knowing it probably isn't the same with Jrue Holiday there

Blake Griffin who chose to retire when the players begged him to stick around one more year and Boston was willing to hold an end of the roster spot open for him.

I'm sure Smart is very upset about missing a championship.

So Boston didn’t play one healthy team in the playoffs? We all knew Luka was hurt but nothing specific. That being said, Luka would have to go Lebron mode to make up for his lack of teammates in that series. I think the Heat or Cavs would have given the C’s the most fits. Cavs seem to give Boston fits and they had a ridiculous ORTG against Boston even with key guys injured.

Congrats Boston fans. Been awhile waiting for this team to breakthrough. This team could win more but I don’t think it is expected. I can see why people talking dynasty or multiple championships but I think one is just fine for all Boston fans.

Obviously very early, if Tatum and Brown win only one in their Boston career? How will that look. With all these talented teams maybe disappointed but one title by 25-26 years old is a hell of a start. If Zinger can be somewhat healthy they have a chance at another one

Brad Stevens/Ainge deserve a ton of credit. That KG/Pierce trade was everything but then to build around it like they did was also a key

Smart was my favorite Celtic before he got traded.

Was disappointed to see him move on.

But White's a better all around player than Marcus in my opinion.

Hate the Celtics but I am happy Jeff Van Gundy won a title.
