I don't shop on Amazon enough to justify it and I don't really watch the shows they have. But considering the amount of sports content they're acquiring, its kinda making it unavoidable

Happens all the time. Usually you can restart it and it can fix itself. Streaming is proof that the TV watching public are mindless slaves. Perfect for selling useless ideas and products to.

These services were things our grandparent's government gave us for free and then people were stupid enough to pay for it instead. Easily tricked into paying for.

Nope. Fast forwarding through commercials was a thing for years and now they stop the program to serve you a fucked up ad. Even if you are already paying a monthly bill. Insanity, but dopes will eat it up.

You can't now. The stream forces you to run the commercials. It doesn't matter how many replays you watch, it will never allow you to fastforward the commercial. It's a new feature. As I said originally.

My whole comment is about how you‘re not saving any time by “fast forwarding through the commercials” by pausing a live broadcast so many times. So whether you just suck it up and watch a 30-60 second ad every so often or pause the live show a ton so you can skip commercials it still takes the same amount of time.
