That is a pretty strong assumption to make in such a dismissive manner.

Can't believe I'm about to defend the Heat, but it's a FAR stronger assumption to assume that the Heat will get the backwards sweep instead of assuming that they pull atleast one out. Especially considering that the home team winning 3 straight has only been done 3 times. It's going to beat tough to beat a team like Miami THREE times in a row. It CAN be done, but it's not something that I would bet on

Maybe Pop will hope that Joey Crawford will ref and keep calling "moving picks" on James.

Replay showed that was an awful call.

It was called a trip if I remember correctly, and it was just that, Lebron tripped Stephenson.

I was referring to the moving pick that was called on James last night by Crawford. I believe it happened in the 1st half.

i was referring to the pick lebron set on Parker last game. He did trip Lance Stephenson and I had no problem with the call.

He was talking about the game last night, it was an awful call LBJ didn't move or trip him.

smoking...

makes math easy :D

I smoked the stuff when I was a young man, about 32 years ago. I tried to do College Algebra on weed. Didn't work out so good because I skipped too many classes and flunked big time! :laugh3:

That is why people don't like HEAT fans.

The Miami HEAT just won last season's title by sweeping the 3 games.

It was not 1985. It was last year and it was the very team who thinks its impossible.

In fact they won both titles by sweeping the 3 games.

And yet, they assume it is impossible.

When the very team they root for did it not once (but twice) in the last 5 years.

So in 27 years only 2 teams have swept the middle 3 teams and both times it were the Heat. No one is assuming it is impossible but it is not likely for 2 reasons.

1) Only twice in 27 years have this happen.

2) In 11 series with the big 3, the Heat have won at least won road game in EVERY SINGLE series.

3) The Spurs are going to need the play a lot better and the heat a lot worse in these next 12 quarters if they don't want the series to return to Miami.

The Heat thru 2 games have looked like the better team even with the Spurs containing LBJ scoring. In the 8 quarters played so far, The Heat won 5, even in 2, and the Spurs won 1 (4th quarter of G1). If the Heat continue to be better/even with the Spurs in just about every quarter they'll win the title.

I'm not saying Miami's going to run away with this series, hell I'm still nervous and cautious about how game 3 is going to go. But even most of the Lakers fans who downright despise the Heat even recognize that this will be going back to Miami. Question is who will be up 3-2 heading into game 6. Long way to go.

Yeah, as much as I want the Spurs to sweep all 3 and end this in 5, I just don't think it's likely!! I think the Spurs take game 3, the Heat game 4 and then the Spurs again in game 5.

i have the exact opposite happening.. heat 3 and 5.. spurs 4. spurs are solid team, but i just dont think they are good enough to beat miami.

imagine a Heat fan thinking that...

At least by past results, one can make that type of prediction based on results of actual basketball play.
The Heat has proven up until now at least that they rise to a challenge.
What WILL happen, nobody knows.

Anyway, let's try to imagine why you predicted the Heat to lose to the Bucks, Bulls and Pacers, as well as predicting the Lakers to beat the Spurs.

So, really, whose thinking has been more out of line with reality?

This series is coming back to South Beach. It's very difficult to beat an elite NBA team three times in row. As has been mentioned, it has only happened twice in the NBA Finals (sweeping the middle 3). I think this one goes back to Miami with the Spurs up 3-2.
