That went pretty much exactly like I expected.

Whenever a team steals game one, they seemingly always get badly beaten in game 2

I thought SA might be a little different..... oh well

Duncan/Ginobili did not play a single second in the 4th quarter. That is actually something good to take out of it.

You might as well steal rest while Lebron/Wade/Bosh beat up on the Spurs bench.

I am not sure why spoelstra kept his stars in so long. The Spurs emptied their bench a long time ago.

Just out of curiosity how are you Miami Heat bozos, er I mean fans going to spin this if the Spurs sweep the Heat. If the Spurs continue to play as they are right now I do think that is possible

You got to love someone calling others 'bozos' while asking a borderline retarded question. Talking about a sweep when a team is up 1-0 and won a nail biter game.

How's that sweep working out right about now?

I repeat.....Mario Chalmers is NOT an assassin!! Hell, Derek Fisher is closer to an assassin than Chalmers and I don't consider him an assassin either!!

As SEC Official pointed out......Chalmers is Craig Hodges at best!!

I do... I consider Fisher an assassin

I guess based on this conversation Craig Hodges was an assassin...

I go back to my original assertion... Horry had to create for himself most of the time.

Chalmers sits outside and waits for Lebron or Wade to draw his defender off to help and then burries a wide open 3... how is that an assassin?

Are you watching the game or did you watch the Pacers series? Chalmers actually has been driving a lot and beating his guy of the dribble.

He hit 2 threes tonight. How do you explain his other 13 points?

When people start a serious convo about players that aren't in the game that means it's

GARBAGE TIME

I think Fisher is a better player... but Fisher benefited from Kobe all those years... same thing as Chalmers. Kobe drives and draws off 3 people.. he hits a wide open 3.

Fisher never was the better player, and it's not even close either. Chalmers is much better at attacking the rim, more explosive, and a much better defender. Fisher is a much better shooter though, I'll give him that.

There is a difference Chalmers starts, Horry came off the bench.

Horry is clutch as shit. But the guy is an average joe.

I would chose Chal over Horry, but clutch time Horry every time!

Did someone just say Horry had to create for himself? Really? the ball just rolled out to him on his signature career shot. Come on. Horry was a career 7 points 5 boards 42.5% shooter... he did not create his own shot. He benefited from great players around him. Same with Chalmers. An assassin to me is a guy who can hit the big shot consistently... wether he creates it or the ball just rolls out to him.. hitting that game winner..

One good thing about this series so far is that the refs been a non factor in both games

As long as your players don't end up some freak injury, why not keep them in and let them gain rythmn/confidence? They do only have one game rest, but after playing 3 quarters I doubt a little bit of the fourth makes a difference.

He hit 2 threes tonight. How do you explain his other 13 points?

Easily... one most of his drives, his man helped down on a driving Lebron (or occasionally Wade) and when they kicked it out to Chalmers his man tried to recover from the help assuming Chalmers would shoot a jump shot and Chalmers had them on their heals and drove into them or beside them.

So, if his defender didn't have to help on Lebron.. do you really believe Chalmers breaks him down off the dribble?

I saw the Spurs help down a dozen times tonight alone off Chalmers..

Pop is not a stupid coach.. he will take Chalmers shooting all day (or Cole) vs. Lebron and Wade. Sometimes you win those gambles.. sometimes you lose. Tonight Chalmers hit and they lost.

That explains it!! We just have a little bit different definition!!

The only role player that I consider an assassin is Horry!! Outside of him it's guys like MJ, Magic, Bird, Kobe and now Lebron.

For me, a true assassin is pretty rare!!

SPURS time to celebrate #5 in front of the home fans.

No turnovers at home.

No crowd noise to fuel big runs.

I feel cautiously optimistic.

The Spurs did their job. They split 1-1.

2-0 probably would have been impossible versus a desperate 66 win team at home.

But to end the conversation Horry and Mario are both average players probably above average considering there are so many players.

Chal is a reliable starter, good shooter and ball handler.

Horry is reliable off the bench and was put in to hit the big shot or when needed and grab boards.
