The thing I can't figure out is why everyone still insists that Russell Wilson isn't a good QB in the pocket. In an hour of watching NFL network, I've heard the key to the game is keeping him in the pocket at least 6 times. Has he not shown he's effective from the pocket?

That's probably going to be something that gets brought up until he throws from the pocket for a couple of years as well as he has been doing it for the past couple of months. Once you get a reputation as a certain type of player, it seems to take a really long time to shake that reputation. He still has the rep of being a quarterback who is better outside the pocket and will probably continue to have that rep for a while. Of course, if the Hawks win the Super Bowl again this year and they do so with him throwing primarily from inside the pocket, his "better outside the pocket" reputation might disappear a bit sooner as a result.

Not sure if you all saw that the Vikings famed gjallarhorn shattered in the frigid cold this morning. Is this a sign? Symbolic?

high of 2 degrees.....I think this will be a low scoring game.....13-10 Vikings. will be interested in seeing how Seattle deals with the freezing temps.

neither team can prepare for the coldness of the game today, Minnesota is not any more acclimated to this weather than Seattle.

I was pretty confident and this is the match up I wanted as a Hawks fan. I can't see Teddy two gloves putting up enough points/drives etc to win this game. Hawks need to still focus on AP, which of course they will, and I think they'll come out on top. The weather could even some things out and make this a closer game... but with that being said

im seeing people on other forums claiming that neither team will be able to throw, that the game will be completely unrecognizable, only gang tackles will work. i just dont get it, what am i missing? its not a monsoon or a blizzard, its just cold and sunny.

i think by the time the first quarter is over people will have forgotten about how cold it is.
