Yes, that's the rule. Division champs get home field over wildcards. If there were no wildcards, do you think the Vikes deserve the playoff spot over a division winner? We've had division winners at or below .500 with home field before.

That 14 win team had 4 losses, 2 to their division winner and 2 to that "undeserving" 10 win division champ
