He was just trying to attack me. The heat, the no-hitter the game before, and the " new team" thing were all bullshit reasons that nobody actually thinks about or considers. If banister was thinking about such things..... We are a lot worse off in the managing department than I initially thought.

Paranoid much?

80 low stress pitches...So lets talk about other outings where he had bad luck...cause that makes sense.

In this particular situation, I think the last thing Banister wanted to have happen was for Perez to give up the tying/winning runs in the 9th. See that a lot actually.

The problem we've got with our BP is actually two-fold at this point. (1) Maybe they aren't all that good to begin with, and (2) Even if they were that good, they're pitching 2-4 innings every day/night.

That's tough on the best-of-the-best BP.

Perez had that entire team dejected and pulling Perez gave them life. I think we've picked up two good arms for the pen, but your assertion is absolutely right. Now we've got the Astros coming to town and our two shiny new arms have been used two and three days in a row. Way to fucking go.

I still say JD is one of the best GM's in baseball, but his manager hiring fucking sucks. This gets laid at his feet and it's a major fuck up.

I wish we could hire someone to manage the bullpen because the banny rooster might be worse than Wash when it comes to that. I would've left both Perez and Hamels in the game.

You scored on both accounts.

Masterpiece Martin! Masterpiece!:10:
That was a great thing to see. Just knowing that he is getting things back together against a very tough team and to stamp at least for now 1 of 3, the others Yu and Holland, as on their way back to being the productive pieces we have been missing. Each positive for those 3 will just boost the moral of this team and the fan base.

I cannot comment on Banister or on the Mac and other idiots show because I will just come unglued. So I will just say as I said before great job Perez and glad Hamilton was able to do something since the rest were not. Leake is a good pitcher so what can you say about that.

Inspite of all the anger and negative feelings, the positive out ways it IMO. A masterpiece, defense and all over effort got the win.

If that's his reason. we won't see the best from Yu and Derek on their return.

To me DT, there's absolutely nothing wrong with being overly cautious, rather than trying to extend someone before they should have. In this particular case (Perez) it might have been a mistake for his most stressful pitches to come at the end of his outing. And had he stayed out there, given up a hard-hit double (or worse), would we have wanted him yanked then?

But in the grand scheme of things, piss on this single game. It matters not so much. I want Perez to succeed here for the next decade, and stressing him out at the end of his 3rd/4th game back from TJ surgery isn't a recipe for longevity.

And I was on record with saying "Perez is going to finish the game, unless he implodes."

I'm just asking everyone to take a breath and appreciate we just took 2 of 3 from one of the best teams in the game, and got both of em came at home where we haven't been stellar.

Perhaps my timing sucks for asking for cooler heads to prevail though. Ha

A lot of my anger is built on last nights debacle as well.

I anticipated a lot of glee over taking 2 of 3 from the giants. Instead, you guys are running Banister out of town.
