How is a winless team better than a team that has a win? The Vikings are the 3rd best team in the NFC?! Lastly, you have the .500 Philadelphia Eagles, who couldn't beat a 1-5 Falcons team, ahead of a Panthers team that has won 4 straight, a Colts team that beat the Chiefs in Primetime and the Lions who have beaten the Eagles!

Simple - I don’t base the rankings simply off of W-L record or one game here or there.

If the Vikings aren’t the 3rd best team in the NFC right now, who is?

8. Philadelphia Eagles, 3-3 (4):
For the second straight season, an obscure linebacker from the Eagles was not able to back up his trash talk. Maybe they should try not doing that?

1. New England Patriots, 6-0 (2):
The only 6-0 team in the league and one of only two remaining undefeated teams. Sure, they’ve faced pretty much no one, but you can only play the teams on your schedule. That said, I’d bet money that Belichick has figured out a way to hack the NFL scheduling program to make sure the Patriots have the easiest schedule possible. It’s the Patriot Way.[/QUOTE]

Of course you would.

Any intelligent fan knows there is always decided by routine program -
6 games against own division,
4 games against an AFC division,
4 games against an NFC division,
etc.

Any one of the Saints, Niners, Seahawks, or Packers? They are clearly the top 4.

The Packers lost at home on a short week to the Eagles - who everyone swears aren’t very good. How are they clearly top 4? The Seahawks have yet to beat anyone good and have barely won against some pretty bad teams. Also, clearly top 4?

Further to this, you play two teams in the conference who finished in the same place in their division the prior year. KC for example this year, Pittsburgh almost every year. So they should be penalized for winning the AFCE every year. The schedule is weak because they have dominated the whole damn conference for two decades.

Seahawks, 49ers, Packers, Saints and Panthers are all better than Minnesota right now. How can you say that a winless team is better than anyone right now?
