JD needs to man up, fire Bannister now, and be extremely active in repairing the bullpen he destroyed. Start releasing clowns right and left. Don't stand for mediocrity. Fix shit. Don't allow Bannister to keep trotting out the same garbage relievers game after game.

This ranks as one of the worst losses of the season because it was entirely preventable. And yet we won't hear a damn thing from Bannister, nor will we see any action from JD because of it. Grow a pair and fire Bannister. Show the world that you're not a clueless idiot yourself.

Honestly, it's not terribly hard to be a decent MLB manager. All you have to do is not go out of your way to do incredibly stupid things. Just use common sense. You're winning 7-4 in the 8th inning. Your starting pitcher is still looking pretty good and is only at 97 pitches. You just need 1 out to get to the 9th. You can either: a) let your ace starter get the final out, b) bring in any reliever from the pen except for your worst, or c) bring in your worst reliever who gives up multiple runs per outing. 2 easy choices and 1 incredibly stupid one. Not that hard. When the entire fan base shakes their head and says "we're going to lose now" when you make a move, and sure enough it happens, it might be a sign that you don't have a clue.
