Which one of the 49ers coordinators, if one had to go, would you rather lose?

My opinion is that we can afford to lose Roman the most. Fangio and Seeley (spelling?) are too valuable. I believe Geep Chryst could be a decent OC.
Thoughts???

I've said this in other threads, that if the worst happened and the 49ers lost Fangio. I think Ed Donatell might do an OK job filling the DCoord job. He has experience with the Packers and Falcons as their DCoord, he seems to make defenses better.

1999 Without Donatell the Packers were ranked 20/19 (Pts/Yrds)
2000 His first year, they went up to 14/15
2003 His last year they went 11/17, and when he got fired to scapegoat Favre throwing an INT in OT...
2004 the team fell to 23/25 without him

Same pattern in Atlanta..
2003 they were 30/32 and in 2004 with Donatell they went 14/14
His last year there was 2006 where they went 15/22 and the next year dropped to 29/29

Fangio is valuable no doubt, but I think if the 49ers lost him and they promoted Ed Donatell, they'd be OK. Just looking at that pattern of him improving the defenses his first year and them staying pretty decent during his time there and then how much they drop after he was fired or left the staff. That leads me to believe that he's a pretty decent coach who knows how to get the most out of his players.

I would want Roman to stay if nothing else to just keep some continuity with the OC for once. Next year could be the first in I don't know how long, that we have the same head coach and both coordinators back for two straight years.

Goodbye Greg Roman. I've always thought he was overrated the whole time. The talent(less) offense didn't help either. We were horrible in the red zone, there were so MANY suspect calls on 3rd and long (I have no stats to back up but I swear we just ran the ball one too many times), no changes whatsoever when Alex got sacked a gazillion times vs the Ravens. Having Roman gone would be no huge loss. Alex would go through OC #8 but he should be used to it by now and if screws up next year, there goes a good excuse.

I'd rather not see any change in the coaching staff.

Just try to improve a few positions on offense and re-sign any key FA on defense.

I would be far more butthurt to see Seely go then I would Roman. Based on Harbaugh being the big swinging dick of our offensive continuity and the fact that Cryst was already calling plays in the 2 minute drill, I wouldn't like Roman leaving, but I would be ok.

The fact that Chryst called the plays on the drive against the Saints makes me think we could live without Roman.
