We'll start with obvious as to why GB should win this game and then move on into how the NFL is doing its best to ensure a GB win so they can have a KC-GB Super Bowl. The Packers are playing at home for a reason; they are the best team in the NFC. They have home field advantage, they have the League's best QB and they are well rested playing a 49er defense missing its best two players and a QB with a torn ligament in his throwing hand thumb and a sprained throwing shoulder.

The league, wanting GB in the Super Bowl, scheduled the 49ers to play a Saturday game coming off of a late Sunday game on short rest. They scheduled it at night so it will be even colder giving GB another advantage. Take KC for instance, they are not playing on a short week because of the league wanting Mahomes in the Super Bowl and also Cincy is not playing on a short week. No teams are, except the 49ers and Rams; the Rams got screwed just in case somehow the Peckers lose so that they have a backup plan of having Brady in the Super Bowl.

Why. you may ask? No one wants to see the 49ers try to bludgeon their way down the field in a 17-13 game. The league wants high powered passing offenses in that game with the league's most popular players.

So the 49ers are being asked to play the league's best team on the road at night on short rest by the NFL. Does anyone not believe there is a west coast bias in the league office? Its terrible, but the message is clear. The league has mandated that the 49ers and Rams cannot win this weekend; especially the 49ers with the offense only a mother could love. Should something come to pass where it looks like the 49ers might win, you can rest assured that the referees will come to the rescue for Green Bay.

I believe somehow the 49ers will find a way to keep it relatively close but the league will not allow the Peckers to lose. Just watch.

some great points but the conspiracy theories run a bit deep here.

Niners have a good shot at keeping this game super competitive.

done it before, gonna be a fun game to watch, looking forward to it

I don’t think the league wants their grind it out type of offense in their showcase event. They already got too much bad publicity with the BLM nonsense

Packers are early 5.5pt favorites. They deserve their status this season.
With the league making it as difficult as they can for the Niners I see 5 points being a bit conservative but Rodgers usually saves his worst games for the 49ers in the playoffs. He’s never beaten them

Unless the West coast team has homefield, they tend to get screwed in the scheduling.

Teams that played on Saturday, the previous week should play again on Saturday. teams that played Sunay should not be playing again on Saturda; its common sense. A child could have fixed this schedule with very little effort.

Hard luck with the Satiurday game but somebody had to play on Saturday. Go into the game looking at it as an opportunity, and not being screwed by the NFL. It wasn't too long ago where we weren't even sure of getting in.

Yes Green Bay has everything going for them but thats what the #1 seed EARNED. No tears, just play your best and limit your own mistakes.

The defense isn't going to keep Green Bay down, so the offense will need to score touchdowns, not field goals.

The game plan will be almost identical to the Dallas game.... heavy dose of running the ball (GB doesn't have a great run defense), keep Rodgers on the sideline, play solid defense. GB will be able to run the ball better on us than Dallas did, and that will set up the play action. You just trust that GB won't make the same mental errors that Dallas did. Would be great if we never hear Mosely's or Thomas' names.... somehow, that probably won't happen, though.

If Jimmy throws the ball 25 or more times, we probably lose. If he throws a pick or fumbles, we probably lose. Jimmy has to play a very clean game.

We are a tough match-up for them... we just gotta play a clean game.

If you move GB vs SF to Sunday... then TB plays LAR on Saturday, and considering the Rams played Monday night, no chance NFL was playing that game on Saturday.

Once TB beat Eagles pretty much sealed the fate of Dallas/SF winner to play on Saturday (Dallas at TB or SF at GB). The Monday night winner was not going to be playing on Saturday.

Thank the league for adding a MNF game to the mix to create this issue for NFC this year.

If Shanahan remembers that he has the most dangerous Tight End in the league they have a chance. If he forgets, like in the last two games, they have no chance

Jimmy's worst throws the past 2 weeks have been on throws to Kittle. He needs to give Kittle more accurate passes to catch, or just be content with teams taking Kittle away and stop trying to force some balls to him. Hopefully we just do to Green Bay what we did last time and run, run, run run because they can't stop it.

Yes, the same game plan as always beginning with no turnovers and limiting big penalties. If we play a 'clean game' and still lose ok, but don't give the game away.

They will omplete their passes so just make the tackles.

The worst one I saw was the overthrow to a wide open Aiyuk in the Dallas game. When he misses it’s usually high and that can be scary but I don’t think they can run all night. Play action if deadly for a running team, especially with the RAC guys we have

Getting awfully tired of hearing the pundits on ESPN say the "Packers are on upset alert and how dangerous the 49ers are" They, at best, have a 10% chance of winning this game. The worse the weather, the better the chance for the 49ers, so I hope its windy and cold
