I saw that. Although Cleveland has to address the fact that Tristan Thompson and Waiters are about to come off of their rookie deals (Waiters has a qualifying offer for 16/17, while Thompson's kicks in next year).

the salary cap is set to go up in 2 years with new tv deal. which is why LeBron was only doing the 2 year deal thing. So they will have more money to spend, but I would think LeBron/Love will want max money. Waiters and Thompson deal... they will be heading towards luxury tax hell. Who knows, maybe LeBron being on the team will lead to the money to cover that. The NBA has made it really hard for teams to become long lasting dynasties unless everyone on the team just agrees to play for less than their market value for several years (I'm looking at you San Antonio).

guess im not seeing it. kyrie will make more than 7 mil next season i assume. what will love ask for? depending on how far they advance in playoffs i question if love will even resign. verbal agreements dont mean much in the offseason. especially the year before. so lebron 20 mil per, kevin love around the same..thats 40 tied up to 2 players. kyrie set to make near 10 next season. ill admit im not much of a salary cap cruncher. but roughly 50 mil. in 3 players. leaves 13 for the rest of the team. am i wrong?

No, you are correct.

They will have to trade for a contract, they can't sign a player outright.

Basically, they had 16mil in non-guaranteed deals.

So, they could have traded for say....Brook Lopez who makes 15mil.

They could have sent Bogans and Hayward to the Nets after the Season and then Brooklyn could have immediately cut both guys because their deals are non-guaranteed.

That is a hypotetical ofcourse because Bogans was already dealt and Brook will be a free agent this summer.

But, you get the gist...A team wanting to dump a big contract and blowup the team would get immediate salary cap relief.

So, when the Nets Owner merges his assets with Guggenheim, who owns the Dodgers, will we see a massive influx of Brooklyn Dodgers paraphernalia?

Will Magic Johnson have a role with the Nets?

Weird....

Beasley and Delonte West on same roster could be very interesting.
