90% of you never come into contact with Native Americans nor are you Native American...please stop talking.
Why would you want to cater to 10% as opposed to the 90%?Not for me to decide. Why does it need to be one or the other?
Why would you want to cater to 10% as opposed to the 90%?
If 90% aren't offended by it, it's hard for me to imagine that they want the name changed. You are under the impression that 90% don't want the name changed???

I think Arizona probably has the highest Native American population in the country dude. You're kidding right? You've never met a native American Indian before? Is a sheltered life you must live Derski
So again I ask, why cater to the vocal (tiny) minority when the vast majority doesn't care? Not wanting the name changed and just not giving a shit one way or the other are two entirely different things.
So again I ask, why cater to the vocal (tiny) minority when the vast majority doesn't care?
Why factor them in? Because isn't the push to change the name because it's offensive? So if 90% aren't offended by the name, the 10% that aren't shouldn't just get their way.Why would you factor in anyone that doesn't care one way or the other? If you were telling me that 90% want the name to stay the same, I would agree. I've also explained why we should defer to the minority in this instance.

If someone finds the name offensive and thinks it should be changed, they need to make a case to back that up. But if 90% say it's not offensive, then there is no case. Just because that 90% may or may not care about the name one way or the other doesn't mean the 10% should just get their way.
You are talking about "getting their way" like they are pouting little children that want ice cream after not finishing their dinner. Have a little perspective.
They want the name changed, right? They are apparently a tenth of the Native American population. It is quite literally a small minority of people that are trying to force everyone else to go along with what they want. So please, enlighten me, what exactly is wrong with my perspective? You are talking about "getting their way" like they are pouting little children that want ice cream after not finishing their dinner. You're right. People are much more justified to pout about ice cream than they are the name of a football team. Ice cream is serious.
Pouting Children > these PC Nazis
Your term for the 10% (if this is even accurate) of Native Americans who find "Redskins" offensive is PC Nazis?
Nice.
Like Hammer's pathetic profiting? That one really gets to me.Not necessarily people who are offended by the name. I'm more referring to PC Nazis like Barack Obama who tried to use the federal government (FCC and other regulations) and lawsuits to force the Redskins to change the name.
There are plenty of things that offend me that I don't sue people about.
