Seriously, when we strike their name from teams and such, we can forget about them entirely. I've never understood why it would be offensive.

It's not offensive. Never was. Natives called THEMSELVES "red" men during colonial times.

I for one am utterly appalled and ridiculously offended that Miami continues to use Dolphins as their name while making no major funding efforts to sea wildlife (namely the Dolphin).
