I don't remember Jordan or Kobe ever doing that... nor do I remember them not dribbling the ball half the time.

Oh, they complained to the refs plenty. Just like almost every other modern era NBA superstar.

And neither of them were ever vilified for it.

I mean they did at times. I just don't recall them being as bitchy about it. I'll admit I didn't watch a lot of Kobe, I can warrant Jordan a bit because that's when the arm bar existed and before the NBA was a giant puss filled offensive league that calls defensive fouls on every other play. Shaq also was a guy that just played through it.

I forget who the ref was...but it was a televised game (national, I believe) and got caught on camera. Had to apologize to the gays for it. lol
