I'm not against a...bo bichette..deal..So I keep reading about Bo Bichette being talked about amongst teams. He is the one guy I would love for them to go all in for. He is under contract for 2 more years giving us time to extend him or deal him at the 2025 deadline.
Go for Bo and Romano. Make it a fun offseason.
What do you think that would really cost? I know it is way too early in their minor league careers but they got 3 guys who should be top 100 SS prospects going into next year, plus Celestin, who is a dude who has been forgotten but was talked about like the next Julio when he signed. So they have expendable guys. Just curious as to what else. I truly think Ford is an untouchable because of the Raleigh problem. So like Young, Gabby Gonzalez then who else? Those two plus Woo maybe or is that way to low. I’m sure they could toss Kelenic in there but Bichette would fill a gaping hole but then the Mariners would have to fill Kelenic’s spot. I have little faith in them filling both LF and RF with impact bats. No offense but Canzone, Marlowe and DeLoach competing for a spot is not acceptable. So I keep reading about Bo Bichette being talked about amongst teams. Just hate how Jerry has boxed himself in with how IMO dumb his roster construction has been.
You can throw the two scrubs he picked up to 3B and actually spend the money to get Bellinger. But if the Jays want anything more than 1 of the 2 SS, Gonzalez and either Miller or Woo then it’s a passFor a 25 year old SS that is capable of getting 200 hits, 100 RBIs, and is already an All Star? That is way too low, we would really need to give up a ton for him plus the 400 million it will take to extend him. We would also need to figure out what to do with JP Crawford and the hole at 3rd base and RF.
Read some teams see him as a 3B. Or we move Crawford to 2B.What do you think that would really cost?
