Back to Cronenworth, he lacks power, hits under .240, and still K's in the mid 100's. Why would anyone give up a top 5 prospect plus two others for that? I mean Jerry would of course, but a huge pass for me.

He had two good years before last year. Won’t pretend to be a Padres fan but it seems he isn’t an everyday player like the Padres made him. Who knows, I’m only going off scouting reports on the dude when his name was popped up. And I’m not advocating for that at all, remember I’m not the one who proposed it.

Though I do think it is a joke they think that makes them a 95 win team. Could it improve them sure, but it is taking huge gambles again on the roster instead of just putting together a good roster. It is gambling on Murphy staying healthy, Geno not continuing his slide at an offensive player, way too much faith in Dylan Moore and trusting a dude who has never pitched in the big leagues to be your number 4 starter along with if Jerry and Scott wouldn’t go with a 6 man rotation so why would they this year? Plus I hate the idea of a 6 man rotation.

The Mariners tendered contracts to all eligible players. No one on the current 40-man has been non-tendered. Logan Gilbert, Ty France, Justin Topa, Trent Thornton, Josh Rojas, Luis Urias and Sam Haggerty are all arbitration eligible at the moment.

Well f me, I do diatribes about being too lefty heavy so Jerry trades for another righty platoon player. It’s like fixing the offensive hole at 2B/3B they are just going to throw volume at it and hope those positions can be major league average.
