Don’t know if this was posted already, but the M’s were the most profitable MLB franchise in 2023 … I’m sure they’re near the top every year because of there unique location and TV support from so many States … NO EXCUSE to be in the middle of the pack in payroll when you’re one of the top income earner franchises … M’s always go cheap, and that’s why we’ve never sniffed the World Series … I understand you can’t just throw money around stupidly, but Increasing the payroll over time will inevitably produce better results …

Yeah it’s because the Stanton and the FO uses the bullshit medium market shit. Seattle is the anywhere between the 11th-15th media depending on who you listen to. But that is a talking point because the Mariners real media market is, all of Washington, Northern Oregon and Idaho and all of Western Montana. It doesn’t equal LA of NY but adding Spokane, Portland, Boise and Missoula to Seattle and Tacoma, it isn’t a small market. Plus the bs excuse of how the Cubs and Yankees are “big market” teams but they split their market with two other teams yet Oakland is considered small market when they split the same market as the big market Giants.

Plus you know Seattle also is the home of some the biggest corporations in the country for advertising but that is always left out of the equation. But we have to forget that even though the Mariners spent millions of dollars in renovations for suites and seats that no hardcore Mariners fan will ever sit in.

Alaska .as well....witch .the poulation.is small..but still..there is no excuses..
