Tough to get a read on Romo with the Cowboys. He had some other comments this week that came off a little dicky or maybe even as sour grapes. Who knows maybe just a frustrated ex-player that just wants the best for his team. This particular comment if you don't read anything into it and just read it as "factual" seems pretty level headed and probably exactly what we are all thinking. Staying pretty similar can mean a lot of things - the types of plays, patterns, blocking scheme, etc. It's not necessarily negative

I honestly think he is covering for the cowboys.
He is trying to be objective without either sounding like Michael Irvin & trying to sound objective without throwing someone under the bus.

Because lets be honest. this is not the best choice on paper.
For anyone talking cowboys. haterade or kool-aid glasses or in between.
He realistically said a lot of nothing for those of us that know the participants (or so we think)

Which is the smart answer.

I didn't think so either. I do think his "morph" comment is more attuned to what we all feel regarding the previous OC and his use of Dak along with play calling in general. And in the end with this team, that doesn't come down to the OC. It comes down to the HC.

Cowboys have run the same offense and plays since 2007. Big scheme changes are needed. I find it interesting that Garrett was all chatty and all of a sudden he is not talking. There was also a lot of talk about an extension for Garrett and now it seems there may be no extension. It really seems like garrett is on the hot seat.

Well now that it looks like Moore is the Defacto OC and Jason is in the “Cowboys Offensive Coordinator Witness Protection Program”
As far as speaking to the media about it.
Here are some thoughts to grasp full on or say BS to
Gil Brandt thinks Moore will be a great OC.

Moore is highly regarded around the league
Dad thinks Moore is a great Offensive mind
Ok now back to what I think. This will go only 2 ways it will be a brilliant success or a dismal failure nothing in between. Why? Well either Moore comes out and really opens up the playbook to suit Dak’s skill set of Jason puts the clamps on him and he fails because of “team” restrictions. I honestly think Garret’s silence speaks volumes about what he thinks. But is so stubborn to not see the writing on the wall that if they don’t adjust this play calling the Boys are doomed for mediocrity again ? If so he is the Dumbest Princeton grad I have ever seen.
I am not going to reverse course about Moor but I am going to go in the season with the attitude of ok this is who we have how can he be better than Linehan. Garrett is the one with the most to lose in this anyway you look at it. If the game plans are stiff and more of the same ole same ole then we know it was Garrett pushing the old run first we don’t care if they know what we are doing. Garrett had highly rated offenses back before Callahan and Linehan. So what happened ?

We are in for another wild ride as usual Cowboys fans better buckle up

I'm hopeful that Moore will not be shackled by Garrett and be able to inject his ideas into this offensive structure. Boise State had a lot of creative window dressing to disguise plays that were the same thing. Their offense wasn't based on a whole lot of misdirection, they leaned more on creating confusion and not giving the defense time to communicate on the field. I'd rather we gave him more than 2 years of coaching before we hand over this offense. Moore's always been more brains and anticipation than raw talent, which should serve him well now. But the inexperience will likely bite him/us from time to time.

So, I won't judge him on my preconceived notions and will instead give him the same leeway I would any new OC and maybe even a little more because he is so green and a learning curve will be expected.
Here's to you Kellen Moore.
