I guess like Barzal last year it'll be interesting to see who has him highest. I know the Isles were very appreciative of other teams' ignorance.

^^ Seems it's a little more than that. He had an injection in his hand for pain which essentially left it paralyzed AND he had a flu-like bug that had him throwing up all game.

:hope: Top three pick, top three pick, top three pick

I guess Craig Button thinks Logan Brown the big 6'6 centre for the US could go as high as top 5 this draft. Who blinks first, Jim Benning or Brad Treliving?

Craig button was really high on Brock Boeser pre draft last year so Im thinking Canucks win the lottery and Benning takes him first overall and then winks at "Greg Buttons"

imagine your team winning the lottery ... coyotes get 2nd ... coyotes throw you OEL to flip picks... and your team picks Laine?

/benning would pick Jake Bean of course :pout:

That would make any GM blow his wad. I just don't think OEL is even up for discussion though. It would be so stupidly beyond crazy to do something like that.

Top pick is going to be a tougher choice than most people think.

I still worry that the rumo(u)rs that Jarmo wants both Finns are true. They are both so talented and valuable that he's gonna have to give up everything he has to do it. Any one of the top three would be a dream.

TBH, and I know it's all hype when it comes to prospects and you never know, but I'd probably give up anything on the Jackets' roster and then some to get my hands on both. I would probably give up the best Leaf prospects for that matter.

Laine's team won the league championship and he took home the Jari Kurri award for playoff MVP.

It gets kind of ugly when you look at what the Jackets have that are likely untradeable vs what is tradeable.

Won't be involved in the plot: Clarkson, Johnson, Tyutin, Hartnell, Prout, Savard, Dubinsky, Foligno, Boll

Would potentially be involved: Jenner, Jones, Atkinson, Bob, Korpisalo, Saad, Bjorkstrand, Wennberg, Karlsson, Murray, Milano, Paliotta, Rychel, Goloubef

I would be fine with almost anyone on the top list going (love Hartsy and Foligno though), but they won't. I'd probably prefer to keep most of the bottom list because we already know what each brings.

He isn't prying away two top three picks with only Rychel or Wennberg. Not even one of the picks for both of them etc. And no one with a top 3 pick is gonna take on one of the salary hogs for it. No need to.
