He said something similar last week. I'd love the Leafs to get their hands on it but it would take so much to get it I doubt there's a deal to be made.

If you put together a package that included Phil Kessel, that might be enough to get the 3rd pick outta Maloney.

See, I don't know if I want the Leafs dealing him straight up for any single prospect/high pick that might not pan out, and I don't think AZ will give up the 3rd pick straight up for Kessel (which would be the only thing I would want the Leafs trading for that pick if at all, unless they wanna take Bozak or Lupul too).

Yep, i think we've said it before but the Carter/Nash packages should be the model here.

We have, and I still hold to it.

Only package deal I would send for #3 overall would be one revolving around JVR, and given how much of a steal his contract is I would definitely want AZ to take Lupul/Bozak as well.
