The team I root for is shitty and doesn't currently have a 1st round draft pick.

The team I root for has a GM who likes to make bold (read: weird) picks. So he probably won't take anyone on the CSB list and will instead opt for the third leading scorer in the New Zealand elite league or some damn thing.

Which guy on the list plays both ways but doesn't do either one particularly well? Because the Islanders will take two of them.

Im good for Dobson. Who do you want?

We need a Defenseman IMO

Im ok with a d man. Bouchard probably but Dobson is right there too. No way detroit passes on hughes

My thing with taking a D man is.

A) Depth. Olli is our only highly rated D man
B) Olli. Is he going to be a bust? How is his back?

Always enjoy the draft, will be interesting to see if we get any big trades as well at the draft.

Per usual, the draft intrigues me for trades more than picks...because we don’t have picks. I get the feeling Jimmy has an itchy trigger finger and wants to make a splash.

Meh, who needs draft picks...

The Flames are without a draft pick in the first three rounds due to dealing this year's first- and second-round picks to the New York Islanders as part of the Travis Hamonic deal, as well as trading away their third-round selection to the Arizona Coyotes as part of the Mike Smith deal.

Barring a trade to move up, the Flames' first pick of the draft will be in the fourth round, 105th overall.

Flames GM: The cost of trading for 1st-round pick doesn't make sense right now

No worries it is a deep draft with 104 players with NHL level talent.:peep::bolt::behindsofa:
