The more I'm seeing these rankings, the more I'm thinking I'd be very happy with Mitch Marner.

Having said that, unless they move Kessel prior to the draft I think he's staying, and if he's staying they're probably going to draft either a C or D. Which is also okay with me, because I think the league is going to get 3 or 4 top six C's out of this first round.

I think Marner can play centre in the NHL. Really the only reason he played the wing all year was because he was playing with Domi, and I think that's a big part of how he got listed everywhere as a winger. But he looked great at centre in the playoffs and I don't see any reason to think he won't be able to play there as a pro.

You and Phoenix should go with D so that Marner or Strome falls to the Devils.

Are there top line centres of a comparable size in the NHL? Honest question.

It's possible depending on what scouts think of Hanifin/Provorov. Main knock I'm seeing on Hanifin is his offensive ability, or lack thereof. He could slide out of the top 5 based on that.

Well he's 5'11 so he's the same height as Crosby, although I doubt he ends up that strong. I could see him filling out to be as big as Duchene though.

Tyler Johnson is doing pretty damn well right now and he's smaller than Marner. Marner will almost certainly be bigger than RNH in terms of muscle mass.

There aren't many but they're out there.

Pavelski is another sub 6 foot guy. Datsyuk. There are more but then we're probably getting into the "is this guy really a #1?" debate.

Okay I don't know where I saw 5'9 for Marner from. Everything I'm seeing now says 5'11, which is just dandy.

Rough Friday.

If he winds up a bigger RNH, well, I'm happy with that.

Is that the V02 test? I have some exclusive footage of the Leafs being put through their paces on the bike...
