I didn’t read much into “what happens if CBA is approved” as I really didn’t expect it to get approved until recently.

Ramsey is likely to reset the market next year anyway. The Cowgirls defense has been an underrated unit for the past couple of years, and Jones has consistently been one of their best players since they moved him to CB.

14-15 will get you Bradbury, but it likely won't get you Jones. It's simply par for the course in free agency ... every year it's someone else turn to set the market.

While I hope you’re wrong on that, I am doubting it more and more as we get closer. All it takes is a few engaged suitors to push him to being the guy that sets the curve this year. All the more if the CBA gets locked in this weekend.

From what I’m reading the cap would set right at $200M this year no matter what happens there. But the increases going forward could be rather substantial. The right deal, loaded forward a little bit could make $17M AAV no more challenging that $14-15M.

I guess the continued debate should be less on the dollars and more if you specifically want him. Yes, we’ve gotten burnt in FA at CB (burnt ourselves more appropriately). I don’t see Jones as that “Maxwell threat”. We need to improve secondary bad. I would pay him what it takes to get him.

Maybe Howie writes a smoke and mirrors deal and Jones signs off on it.....Lots of LTBE that makes it more palatable to pay the top CB deal in the league.

After reading this, it just confirms that if we get the chance to move up, to get Ruggs, we have to do it, and I would also draft another speed receiver in the 2nd round. We have to get faster!

I've mentioned Darnay Holmes in the past. His college development as a corner would have been utilized better had he committed to Ohio State rather than UCLA. He reminds me of a bit of a Jourdin Lewis. The Buckeyes nearly landed him as a recruit, but he backed out the last minute. I would love this guy in Philly.

Even if you add a .05 to the time for being in favorable conditions it's still under a 4.5 which is an extremely solid time for a player his size (by comparison CD Lamb ran a 4.5). I've been a big fan of his for a while and this just reaffirms my stance.

I don't usually disagree with you, but I just don't like Higgins at all. I know he has size and ability, but I don't like his cocky attitude, and think he hurt himself at the Combine.

Holy crap. I wasn’t super surprised that the offense has so much more cap used than defense. But to see how much just Cox counts against the defensive portion this year is startling.

I think you absolutely pay it for Cox....but it all highlights all the more how most of the cap we have needs to go to D

Deandre Hopkins anyone? just saw a rumor floating that the Texans may be shopping him since they don't have a first or second round pick. Peter King mentioned this and saw it on BGN site.
I would absolutely be all for this. I wonder what it would cost?
