Big news being talked about all over the internet today. It seems Deshaun Watson has talked to team mates about potentially asking the Houston Texans brass to trade him. If so and if the new GM is willing, he will immediately become the hottest item in the league and a number of teams would sell the farm to get him, imo.
Deshaun Watson trade rumors: Texans QB could request trade after Nick Caserio hire

Not a fan, but I could be proven wrong
Hasn’t showed up on the big stage with far more talent than he had this season

went 4-12 this season with a ton of empty calorie numbers
Now he’s whining his way out of town after signing a big contract because they hired a GM he knows nothing about

but I agree he would net a haul

I'd love him in NE, he could get BB into the playoffs. Houston just grabbed Caserio from NE

I’d love to see him in NE

the master just won 7 games with a QB I think I’m better than
Master in 1 playoffs in 8 seasons. He reminds me of the all powerful Wizard of Oz

He's not going anywhere. He is flat out too good to trade. There is almost no chance of Houston getting better via draft picks than they are with him no matter how good the haul of picks that they would get.

The only trade I could see where they would have a chance is with Miami if Miami gave them Tua (young QB with some potential) and then like 5 first rounders. A package like that is what it would take.

From the article:

It's worth noting that Florio's report comes a day after the Texans reportedly agreed to terms with Nick Caserio, the Patriots' director of player personnel. That news seemingly prompted Watson to post — then delete — a cryptic tweet that read, "some things never change...."
I guess he's assuming they're making another ill-considered attempt to import The Patriot Way™.

In this race sensitive world we now live in, that’s where I think he was going with that tweet

Drove off to Subway to pick up a sandwich for dinner and had on Chicago sports radio and the host of the show suggested the Bears should give up their 1st round pick for every year that Watson would be the Bears QB

The Jets could make a play for him. Colts maybe. As said, Miami but I don't know about that one. Lots of teams in need but probably only a few that can take on that contract.
Of course, this whole thing may amount to nothing but this could make for some interesting off season talk before draft day.

Great player... But I doubt they would trade him for what little they got for Hopkins.

They’ll be wanting multiple 1st round picks & then some.

Yep but they missed their chance and now would have to trim down considerably to get enough cap space. They are right up against the cap, I think.

They traded Hopkins and that defense isn't that good.

I can't see anybody there being as stupid as O'Brien. But I could be wrong. Lol.

I'd trade Carr, 3 firsts, and a 2nd rounder for Watson.

If the Texans trade him they need to be getting at least 3 first round picks plus another missing piece in return. Watson is a beast.

He just signed an extension for 156 Million ..what 100 days ago?

Good Lord.

Sure.

In his defense though, it was either sign the extension or take franchise tags 1 year at a time. And with his injury history, he was probably right to take it.

And the Texans have been run horribly the last couple years, so easy to understand his POV.
