Clearly not enough! besides, Watson would then be going to a team without the one asset that he would want there.. McCaffrey!
If they have McCaffrey, 8 and them some on the table, why would they take anything we could offer?
If that is all, good luck.
No that was just the meat of it. It was McCaffrey, #8, plus

What a disservice to McCaffrey that would be by the Panthers. There will be many more McCaffrey's coming into the league, heck we got one in Gibson. How many Montez Sweats will be coming into the league? Has a true impact on the game and only getting better. If Sweats first 2 years are any indication of what is to come, I'm seeing potential HOF talk if his career last 10 seasons. So while 8 is better than 19, I'm saying McCaffery's shelf life will likely be much shorter than Sweat's. Now it comes down to the "meat in the middle" to see who wins the prize.
All hypothetical of course because I don't see the WFT in the sweepstakes.

I would love Watson. I just don't see us winning a bidding war without giving up Chase.

Because we could offer more players without drastically hurting our team. Remember the suggestion was 2 firsts, two seconds and at least 2 defensive starters. McCaffrey, while a good player, doesn't play defense.

Carolina's offer on face value only nets 4 players over 3 seasons, there are far better offers netting more players and more immediate help to Houston.

If you're the Texans GM, how do you justify trading with Washington, not coming away with Chase or the QB of the future?

The Texans can take Chase to replace Watt or they can just take what the Jets or Dolphins are offering and get Fields or Wilson.

If not, McCaffrey and Lance.

If the WFT really wants to make a play for DW (who's capital is now dropping after making that statement after meeting w Texans ownership), offer #19, M. Sweat, a 3rd in 2021 and a 2022 1st. That's my best and final now that I know DW won't be playing for the Texans anymore. I'm not giving up C. Young and reluctant to give up my Super Hero tandem but to get DW I make the move. I had offered a bit more a few weeks ago which included DaRon Payne if you remember right but Sweat provides the Texans with more wow right now as does pick #19 that they can select their own QB or parlay into more picks to stock the rebuild with young players. Essentially getting (3) 1st rounders and (1) 3rd.
and the texans say no and trade him somewhere else

Changing the culture and more importantly the reputation is gonna take time. My biggest fear is.once Dan crosses the ownership battle he gets bored and becomes hands on again.

Slow and steady, patience

Just what the doctor ordered.

The defense is playoff ready, and with a few additions it could be nfc chamionship caliber.

The offense is sub par, and with a good offseason could be playoff ready.

this time next year, the WFT should be a virtual lock for the playoffs. That should be the goal.

the year after, the goal should be to contend for the super bowl, and the year after that should be to build for sustained success.
