The Cowboys board here is pretty brutal. Everyone thinks they are smartest person ever and everyone else is an idiot seems to be the theme there. A lot of preexisting beefs still exist amongst posters with half the threads turning into mindless drivel between 2 posters with each justifying their derailment of the thread by stating the other guy is an asshole and has been for years. I venture over there every few weeks/months hoping the dust has settled and it never seems to be the case.

Which is what's frustrating about it. Plenty of intelligent/knowledgeable people, who, when they have their head on their shoulders can make it very interesting and enjoyable. But far too often people tend to lose their heads and threads become unreadable with 2+ consecutive pages of back and forth nothingness. Maybe you've just become numb to it so it doesn't bug you but if people were a bit more rational and learned to shrug off the nonsense instead of taking it personally and going to battle the place would be infinitely better.

I honestly wish I could come to a different conclusion but I can't. That's why I don't see myself venturing over there again. Life's too short.

I'm a Pats fan. I'm always gonna be, unless they start signing thugs who go out and murder people for spilling a drink on them. (No, wait, I take that back.)

But, I like the Cowboys. I like Tony Romo. I also like the Redskins and RG-III. From this, you may surmise (correctly) that I hate the Eagles and the Giants.

I give a lot more credit to Romo than most people. Here's an undrafted FA from a tiny no-name school, who came in and won a starting job in the NFL. When he was healthy, he wasn't quite an "elite" QB, but half the teams in the league would have been glad to have him. He hasn't had much of a team to work with, though. He's one of those overachievers, but now it's catching up on him.

It has become clear that I cannot continue to post on the Dallas Cowboys threads here on the Hoop. For reasons known to those who reside there, there is a clear hostile environment that I cannot overcome. Therefore... until we have some alternatives I am recommending we Fan Nation rejects use this thread to have our fun.

It's ridiculous that TxHeat was accused of trolling for a comment that was anything but. He can be accused of a lot of stuff... but being a troll isn't one of them.
