How a team goes from a top 5-10 OL to easily the worst OL in the NFL ( all while keeping the same players ) is truly astounding

What do you mean? Coaching gigamind Jeff Saturday was available!
And even funnier he was a head coach for a private christian school that didn't play against powerhouse high school teams in GA.

I guess the Colts can say with hiring Saturday is that they at least aren't the Boston Bruins.

Nothing like a team doing something incredibly stupid to help overshadow your stupidity.

I hope he doesn't go back to the Eagles as a QB coach

i actually like the Jeff saturday choice...

Seriously i do... the colts are basically tanking, why waste time hiring anyone for the future?? so this is only temporary, unless magic happens...

If it is going to be temporary, why not make it news worthy?? and why give one of your most beloved players of all time the job?? Also, if he can teach that offensive line anything, then that is another positive...

I actually give the colts credit for this choice...

I am sure that makes the Colts job super attractive with no QB! Many are saying this.

I would kick Canada to the curb so fast this morning after hearing this... But I know the Steelers won't

If only he had started Foles after Wentz, he'd be hoisting another trophy, that's how this works Frank!

Now this owner is going to have to pretend he is not the problem again and point fingers at someone else

Colts named former C Jeff Saturday as interim head coach.

Since retiring, Saturday has served as a consultant for the Colts and an ESPN analyst. It's a highly unconventional decision, given that Saturday was not on the Colts' staff and has no NFL coaching experience. Colts owner Jim Irsay must have felt that a shakeup was needed in terms of team culture, which is somewhat hard to dispute after the Colts failed to show up against the Patriots in Week 9. However, Saturday has to be considered an underdog to turn things around. Per ESPN's Field Yates, Saturday appears to be the first person in history to be named a head coach without NFL or college coaching experience.

I don't understand why everyone assumes that Reich is an offensive mastermind. In his first job as an offensive coordinator, he was almost dead last with Phillip Rivers (in his prime) at QB. His teams in Indy were terrible on offense. He had that great season in Philly, but how much of that was Reich and how much of that was Doug Pederson?

It's looking more and more like it was Pederson. But Reich may be an OK coach, I think the Indy owner and GM may have been the real problem there.

Reich probably isn't the savior a lot of people think he is... But from my position, the bar he needs to clear is pretty damn low.

A couple of firsts here.

First time an OC was fired one week, only to have the (offensive) HC fired the next week.

First time someone was hired from outside the coaching staff, in the middle of the season, to be the interim head coach.

What a cluster****.

the colts are basically tanking

This ^^^^

How the fuck does that team continually get to tank for the number one pick and not get fined?

Didn't Miami just get fined for tanking?
