10-7 might be disappointment at the time, but anyone that thought they would mesh from the start wasn't thinking right.

Mine would probably be the Hornets. They are playing awful right now.

I actually believe that Miami may still have the best shot

1. Chicago just doesn't have it without a healthy Derek Rose and that is never going to happen

2. Indiana is one or two guys short of being good enough to beat the Spurs

3. I am picking Miami to come out of the East

Meh they have beating teams they're supposed to beat. Only game I been really impressed with on this 5 game winning streak was the Wizards win. Am I really shocked the Cavs won home games against the Bucks, Magics, & Pacers? Are we really shocked they beat 4-15 Knicks? If they win 4 of their next 5 I will be impressed.

Their bench is still a major concern. I think their bench is as bad as Miami bench in 2011. 10 points from their bench tonight.

The minutes thing is still a concern. With Toronto coming up tomorrow night, the coach played Kyrie 44 min, Lebron 40, & Love 39.

This may look fine now but if they keep playing these heavy minutes nightly it will eventually take it's toll on them later on in the season

Lebron and Kyrie are 3rd and 4th in MPG and the only reason they're not 1 & 2 is because in blowouts win they get rest in the 4th quarter but if the game is close it is a lock that those 2 are playing 40+ minutes. The only game which this was not the case was the Spurs game and that was due to LBJ mentioning he would like the play less minutes earlier in the day

BKS these three are all young lads . I do agree they need a better bench but the most important thing right now is in fact that these three play a lot together and develop trust and understanding of each other. Lebron is learning with Irving that he has someone who can take over the game.....a role Lebron has historically had to fill.

Come trade deadline they will reinforce team.

The core three getting aligned is the first step

LeBron isn't that young. Maybe they can get by with playing love & Irving those minutes but LeBron is turning 30 this month and he has played deep into June for 4 straight years and in one of those years he played in the Olympics also. It is not a smart move to play LeBron 40+ minutes anytime you're in a close game in the regular season

If LeBron didn't think his heavy minutes were an issue he would not have mentioned it to the media a few weeks ago

Just not worried right now. I think everybody has to understand that he has two stallions and he needs to figure out how to train them, and, what role he should play. On the Heat he had to be the man, he had to score, but on the Cavs he has young legs to fill that role, who are super talented. If Lebron morphs his game, and becomes a Point Forward, how cool.

Once they get more mojo, hold on

If they win 4 of their next 5 I will be impressed.

That would be impressive, since their next 5 are @ Toronto, @ Brooklyn, vs Toronto, @ OKC, & @ New Orleans

Not likely. But, hey, at least 17 games in they eclipsed the infamous 9 - 8 accomplished by the 2010-11 Heat. Of course the Heat went on to win I think 21 of their next 22.... so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the 2010 Heat get the edge 39 games in :-)

Are you saying Wade and Bosh couldn't make baskets? He basically played point forward in Miami.

I don't think the offense will be the issue for Cleveland. Defense is though. Big difference between Bosh and Love there.

1. Hornets- Lance looks like a worst signing than Josh Smith in Detroit

2. Clippers- All style, no substance. They get demolished by any team of substance.

3. Heat- Wade will never be the same, continue to miss games and they can't win consistently without him.

But, none of these teams come close to the Cavs.

So far, they are failing SPECTACULARLY.
Mavs = A very balanced team and playoff contender.

On the heat he did not have to be the man really until year 3...let's not makeup lies now.

Wade avg 25 or 26 in yr 1 and about 23 in yr 2. Lets stop with the lies about needing to be the man and the scorer.

In Lebrons first year he led the team in assists, points, def rebounds , steals. By year two it was again points, assists, rebounds, and steals, with the gap on points getting much larger. And on defense, he was over the top the best of those three, not even close.

With love and Irving i just don't see Lebron having to be the leader in all those areas

Lebron will lead the Cavs in every one of those stats this year except def rebounds as the Cavs got good rebounding big men.

Wade points dropped because he chose to take a back seat for the better of the team in year 2 and he still avg the same amount of points Kyrie is currently avging.

Is he not clearly the best defender on Cleveland also? Kyrie & Love are not good defenders. Wade & Bosh were actually better defenders than those 2. You made a whole bunch of irrelevant points. Lebron is going to lead the Cavs in points, assist, & probably steals for at least the first 2 or 3 years. The only thing LBJ doesn't have to worry about much anymore is rebounding. Everything else is still on his shoulders just like it was in Miami. Kyrie Irving is a SG in a point guards body. It makes sense why the Cavs were a shit team before this year because they never actually had a point guard.

Yeah Cavs are doing fine now.

It is no doubt the Knicks and Hornets.
