The only guys I said have to go are Toro, Santana, and Wanker.

I know chemistry and defense matter. When I speak of upgrades you can't just look at batting average and home runs. It wouldn't be an upgrade to sacrifice those.

That said, if you don't think you could upgrade almost every spot on the team if the situation and price is right you are missing the mark.

I'm not going to be happy with just a return to the late 90's, make a few playoffs now and then and never win the ALCS. I want more. We've waited a long time. Suffered decades of disappointments.

You won't get to a WS without thinking and reaching for bigger guys.

Again, 6 of the 8 left are in the top 9 of payroll. Your odds go way up.

Don't be afraid to leave our comfort zone.

was so pissed off with Servais yesterday that I was just not going to watch anymore until the series. BUT, I just couldn't keep away from the game, even though Valdez was their starter but Castillo was our man. Glad I decided to watch and see Seattle is up 2-1 in the 5th. The M's are too good of a team to let Servais screw things up.
