@MaioccoCSN: S Craig Dahl officially signed three-year, $5.25 million contract w/ 49ers, including $700,000 signing bonus, source said. 2013 cap: $1.78M.

Yep
@MaioccoCSN: LB/ST Dan Skuta officially signed two-year, $3 million contract with 49ers, including $300,000 signing bonus, source said. 2013 cap: $1.35M.

Assuming Dahl's a backup, do backup safeties usually make that much? I feel like we should've just gone with a cheap young player. I don't see what Dahl really adds to the team. I guess he's experienced on special teams.

Yeah thats what I am thinking as well.

Just seems smarter to go with a cheap player since Dahl really doesnt offer much. Plus with a younger player in the draft, there is potential that could develop into a good player.

Dahl you pretty much know what your getting.

Yeah, it just seems that cap space is too precious to waste on this guy. I'll have to just trust Baalke and assume that he sees something in Dahl that will help this team.

Reduces cap number RT @RapSheet #Niners reached a one-year deal with LB Parys Haralson, I'm told. It's for $1.3M with a chance to make $1.7M
Great news, provides excellent depth.

Great news!

Wish we could have kept him - He's a football player and a class act - I hope he continues his streak of being a pro-bowl player!

Adjusted the cap with Haralson counting $1.3M against the cap. We will see later if there are bonuses or what not that are part of the "up to" $1.7M.

Now all we need is to get Goodwin to take a paycut.

And Whitner needs a paycut too. All the way to zero.

Whitner should pay the 49ers to stay on the team.
