I don't think it's too soon! This season is over. Nothing to celebrate. Time to move on to the next one.

What "big" FA is coming out this season though?

It kind of opens the door to fit Revis in. There are several WRs that interest me. Also a good time to extend guys. Chris Houston and Brent Grimes also interest me a lot. Signing Houston could mean bye bye to Rogers as well.

I would rather get Houston than Revis. Gives us more room for a WR like Wallace maybe?

What a bummer. Oh well, onto Trent Time.

You know what time of the year this is: Aldon Smith Bubble Wrap Time.

Don't delay, lock him in before it's too late.

I haven't really checked, but any good DL and/or good pass rushers possibly out there this offseason? We need to get more depth on the dline and we need another guy who can get to the QB. Also, I think the pass rush disappears sometimes because we rarely blitz. Another solid CB would be nice. Maybe blitz a little more next season.

Michael Johnson if he could make transition to 3-4 but he'll get a good pay day I'd say

I really have a hard on to get Richard Seymour onto this team. I think he would provide a great push at NT in passing downs and be able to rest both McDonald and J Smith as well. Assuming he wouldn't be too expensive, he would be a great stopgap should we decide to draft DE and/or NT.

I'd want to sign him even if he were too expensive. Dude's a hall of famer in my book. And when he was playing in a 3-4, he was the best 3-4 DE in football. They even line him up at RDE on the Raiders a lot.

He's also going to want to sign with a contender; he only has a year or 2 left to play at a high level. I hope he's jaded towards the Patriots who stupidly traded him away.

If the Niners had him this year, they would've easily beaten the Ravens IMO. They sorely needed depth on the DL.

This right here. Huge fan of Grimes. But is he the same after the ACL injury / turning 30? I'd give him a 1-year contract as a one season patchwork.

I also like Sean Smith. I think he'd fit in well with what we're doing defensively as a #3/#4 CB.

I like the athleticism that Culliver brings to our CB group, but he might be too aggressive. Bring in Grimes/Smith, move Culliver to FS, and tag Goldson and slide him to SS.

A secondary consisting of Rogers/Brown/Smith or Grimes and Culliver/Goldson could be a good one. Plus maybe a draft pick like Jordan Poyer in the first or second.
