So, BoMel first, Snell second.
Next up: Tatis, amirite?

No thank you. Twice the Bonds personality, half the talent. So, BoMel first, Snell second.

With all the signings (now Snell here) no reason they can't compete for a wild card this year. Obviously not winning the division. For what it's worth ..... I expect this to be a very difficult year for a team like SF. At some point we have to make a hard decision on what are we playing for ... today (win now) or for tomorrow (play the kids and see what you really have). This is where players like Matos get caught in the middle. As long as management feels that we have a legitimate shot at the playoffs his time will be limited and with a very short leash, I'd guess that would be the approach with all the kids. The veterans will hold the field until it seems that we will no longer in the hunt. This team will definitely be interesting to watch .... just not sure how high they can actually climb and how much playing time the kids will see .... .
The fact that Snell not even likely to be ready makes this moot. But I think Webb would get it either way and Snell would be fine with it.Will Snell be ready by opening day? If he is, does he take opening day duties from Webb? They finished 1/2 in the NL CY voting, but Webb has squatters rights.
Considering that they lose two draft picks and a bunch of international money, I really hope they compete. With all the signings (now Snell here) no reason they can't compete for a wild card this year. Obviously not winning the division.

fair point. But in reality I could see them getting Kim. He's Lee's buddy, BoMel likes him, and Lucy could move to the OF. Lee/Lucy/Ramos OF?No thank you. Twice the Bonds personality, half the talent.
Snell was never a 4th starter. He has had 2 elite years and 6 where he was a #3+. Even if we get decent Snell, we are a better team. If he's figured something out...oh, man. That rotation: Webb/Snell/Ray/Cobb/Harry??Well, hope we get Cy Snell and not 4th starter Snell. I wonder if the Giants rush him to pitch the 2nd game of the season.
Looks like Winn and Black are now in a competition for the 5th spot. I would guess it is Winn’s to lose since he is already on the 40 man roster.
I think it's one (4th round) pick.Considering that they lose two draft picks and a bunch of international money, I really hope they compete.
Cobb and Snell are both doubtful for opening day, but both are also possible. And eventually Robbie Ray
I very much doubt Cobb is on the opening day roster though
Lucy needs to kick the door in (like Matos is trying to do right now).fair point. But in reality I could see them getting Kim. He's Lee's buddy, BoMel likes him, and Lucy could move to the OF. Lee/Lucy/Ramos OF?
Snell doesn't go deep into games anyway. I could see him taking the ball for that first game in LA.Cobb and Snell are both doubtful for opening day, but both are also possible.
Snell I can see. Cobb had hip surgery dude. Supposedly he's doing really well and will be ready earlier than expected. But like May 1 not April 1. He was thought to be out for 3 months maybe, so May 1 is a huge win.Cobb and Snell are both doubtful for opening day, but both are also possible.
