Now Beck is experiencing “hand soreness” and is flying to SF to have a specialist look at it.

Assuming the worst for Beck and Winn…

Webb
Harrison
Hicks
Hjelli
Small (??)

JFC
You guys are short selling FZ, the evil genius picked up some mound help for peanuts a few weeks ago... you all forgot about Panda?

What do you suppose Cease would cost? It would have to be Harrison plus. That doesn’t even ADDRESS the problem, let alone begin to correct it.
obviously, we can't give up Harry for a SP.

My guess is he'd cost Lucy + Whiz + Bart or something like that.

Revliver Ben Madison will be up from minor league camp. He had a 3.47 ERA with 105 strikeouts in 41 outings across 2 levels last year. Fastball sits in the low to mid 90's, the slider is his better pitch as it gets good two-plane movement and misses bats.

FWIW, I'm warming up to the idea of either Lorenzen or Clevinger.

Looks like Monty is going to TX

No thank you. That’s ridiculous for 2 years during a stretch where we really arent expected to be that competitive anyway. Lucy and Whiz are potential pieces of an actual competitive team down the road. And as LHG said, cease has really only had 1 good season so far.

FWIW Joel Sherman of the NY Post reported simpatico between the Giants and Snell adding that Snell is more “Willing to do a short-term, opt-out, high-AAV situation which ends up looking like Carlos Correa’s contract which was at 3 [years] and $105 [million].”

Not a ton of things I'm certain about in life, but Bauer pitching in SF I'm certain will NEVER happen.
While he has pretty much been completely vindicated on everything in that story, he still kinda seems like just an in general douche. And the optics (seeing as most people probably don’t realize he has been vindicated) of signing him would be pretty bad. Especially for a SF based org.
