Patriots are one of seven teams that have officially approached the Chiefs about a trade for CB Ja'Daius Sneed.

A person with direct knowledge of the situation told USA TODAY Sports that the Minnesota Vikings, Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, New England Patriots, Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars have expressed interest in the Chiefs corner. The person told USA TODAY Sports on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation.

Because of the interest by so many teams, everything is falling in the Chiefs' favor. Trading Sneed will give the Chiefs enough cash to resign DL Chris Jones, allow them to possibly sign a free agent and as of Thursday March 7th, command a second round pick for Sneed. BBecause the Patriots second round pick is so close to the first round, they are offering a third.

Speculation is that the Patriots #34 has already been promised to another team for a late first round pick if a certain player(s) is/are available.

Here's the latest from several sources.............................

Calvin Ridley and Patriots have agreed to 3/$54M or an AAV of $18M.

If this is true, then they will have about $61M remaining to spend. Will they match $15M for Dugger? Will they pay $23M for Onwenu? Would they spend $25M for Russell Wilson? The big question is this: Are they willing to overpay for high quality players?

Yes they will pay Dugger.

Need to see what kind of offers Onwenu gets.

Nobody should pay that for Wilson. I don't think he gets that much.

No doubt it will be a QB at 3 and OT later in the draft.
Yep, looks like Mayfield and Wilson are being signed.

Now the question is do they use #3 or take McCarthy, Nix or Pennix later?

Personally I feel like if Maye or Daniels are there that will be the selection. If they trade down I cannot see them moving past 15 anything after that and McCarthy is gone IMO
