It's only Week 6 in the 2023 season, but the Patriots will need a boat load od changes if they hope to even start competing in 2024.

If you see a few guys, share them with group and we can all watch him or them.

It will all depend on where the Patriots land in the draft.

My first guy is OT Joe Alt Jr. Notre Dame.

Right now we are setting at #3 .

Caleb or Maye until something changes between now and April.

Caleb is a stretched 6'1"

Maye is 6'4".

Have to go with Maye. Ge's also played a much tougher schedule nd mush tougher opponents.

I like Maye but assume he won't be available for our #1 pick.
Do we then go Harrison at WR or
Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT - the OT we have been wanting/needing?

Then get a GM who's willing to go get him even if it costs him the next #1 pick and Party Size bag of Hershey's Nuggets with Almonds.

And if he turns out to be the next Trey Lance? Moving up to the #1 pick is a pretty huge gamble. Three first rounders and a 3rd. Yikes!!!! Possibly worth it but you gotta admit that SF seriously lucked into Purdy and managed their shit pretty fucking well.

I'm sure if you were to ask them now they'd say they'd give up those same assets for Purdy.

I'm not saying Purdy is the next Brady but the situations are somewhat similar in the luck department.

SF has a GM and a Coach. They talk. They agree, they disagree. The GM has final say.

NE has a GM and a Coach. They always agree and never disagree. The GM has final say.

Let's be honest here. SF seriously LUCKED into Purdy just like NE did with Brady. In the perfect world that they designed between the HC and GM "talking", Trey Lance would be their QB right now for the cost of three 1sts and a 3rd. And they would not have a perfect, let alone winning, record.

This tells me all I need too is about Belichick and his WR evaluation skills.

This is Julio Jones he’s talking about. Yikes!

There is some truth to it.
Would the Pats have beaten Atlanta if Jones played for NE and Edelman played for Atlanta?
Maybe...Probably even. But all they needed was somebody who could separate and catch.

Super clutch catch.

How many punts or kickoffs has Julio returned? How many TD's has he thrown? How many devastating blocks has he levied in the run game? I haven't heard squat about him being a leader in the huddle.

Not taking anything away from Julio. The guy is a fantastic receiver. One of the greats.

Just pointing out, not that I need to, that Julian was much more than just a really great receiver.

And he wasn't a receiver at all. Bill has hit on so many late rounders and seems to completely miss on early WR's.
I do believe he needs to re evaluate his WR evaluation process for early (round 1st or 2nd) picks to get a WR that can....maybe get separation and catch.

Rather than block.

Then keep his late round criteria intact.

There is no way Julian is even close to Julio. Almost the exact amount of games played

Julio 148
Julien 137

Receiving yards

Julio 13,400
Julian 6,800

TD’s

Julio 62
Julian 36

Fumbles

Julio 11
Julian 25

Julio 7 pro bowls
Julian 0 pro bowls

Who had the better QB??? Put the homer glasses down. Julio was a much better WR the Julian ever was. Could argue Julio’s catch was just as good as Julian’s in the Superbowl.

Julio over Julian any day of the week.

How many late round WR’s has he hit on????

As a receiver, no. As an all around player, he sure is.

All around player? There were plenty of wr’s who could return punts and/or throw a gadget pass. Not many who could play like Julio. I loved Jules…. But I’d trade him in a heartbeat beat Julio.

I'm going full on homer here. If Brady is my QB I'm taking Jules.

Regular season sure.
Look at Julian's playoff stats compared to Julio's.
How many post season yards, catches, TD's does Julio have?

How many rings?

Best QB? Sure. But having the better WR didn't bring home a trophy for Atlanta without the best QB and we don't have the best QB anymore either.

How about Brandin Cooks vs Julian?
Or Terrell Owens Vs Dieon Branch?
Or...
Or...
