I like the signing also. I hope he can stay healthy though but I feel that way about their whole defense.

I hope so too. But this defense is loaded with talent now and bolstered from top to bottom. Still curious to see how the secondary shakes out. Only 2 positions concern me at the moment: SS & off-ball ILB. But they have done a good job acquiring more talent to battle for those positions.

I guess my real concern is TJ and Minkah. The rest of the defense is built well enough to replace each one. Also with Minkah it will really expose their SS if he isn’t out there.

Yea the Defense will always go through them. But if the front 7 is as good as it looks on paper, then the entire secondary should benefit from them wreaking havoc in the trenches. In theory anyway.

I know its early, and Herbig is going up against a bunch of depth OTs... But its encouraging to hear he is showing some traits that he can be an effective edge rusher at this level. He won't make a mark in that area this season with the main 4 ahead of him, and will need to make his mark on ST to make the team.

Say what you want about Pickens' insane catch, but JPJ was there in perfect coverage. That's OPI on Pickens. And seeing JPJ go stride for stride with Pickens (where P2 coudn't) is cause for optimism.

That was a thing of beauty by both Pickens and Porter on that one play. Porter's coverage was excelent and Pickens did what every great WR should do.

This also annoys the crap out of me of how amazing a talent Pickens is, and he got under utilized last season.
